Il Convento di San Lorenzo e il Borgo di Piglio sono la precisa rappresentazione del silenzioso custode della terra su cui ci troviamo. Il cibo, il vino, i tavoli di legno e le persone che si prendono cura di questo luogo, della sua storia, della sua cultura e delle sue imperfezioni compongono il luogo perfetto. Cibo locale, prodotti di qualità a km zero, vino di propria produzione, idee, progetto, tradizione e innovazione... Una realtà che merita di essere assaporata. A beautiful stone farmhouse in the midst of the Cesanese vineyards, excellent wine, now appreciated everywhere, at the foot of the Simbruini Mountains. The Convent of San Lorenzo and the Borgo di Piglio are the precise representation of the silent guardian of the land on which we find ourselves. The food, the wine, the wooden tables and the people who take care of this place, its history, its culture and its imperfections make up the perfect place. Local food, quality products at zero km, wine of own production, ideas, project, tradition and innovation ... A reality that deserves to be savored.
V	Valentina Celletti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pranzo in famiglia, tutto sommato piacevole. Servizio lento, quasi un'ora tra un antipasto e il primo. Come antipasto, i fritti dell'orto, con tante patate e cipolle, presentato dentro il cestino del pane, senza un piatto da portata. Se la cameriera mi avesse anticipato durante l'ordine, che un cestino con i fritti comunque veniva messo al centro del tavolo, avrei optato per un altro antipasto. Come primo uno gnocchetto lungo con spuntature, carne dura e secca. Piatti a parte il ragazzo che ci ha seguiti, nonostante la giovane età, molto gentile Family lunch, all in all pleasant. Slow service, almost an hour between an appetizer and the first. As an appetizer, the fried vegetables from the garden, with lots of potatoes and onions, presented in the bread basket, without a serving dish. If the waitress had anticipated me during the order, that a basket with fried food was still placed in the center of the table, I would have opted for another appetizer. As a first course a long dumpling with ribs, hard and dry meat. Dishes apart from the guy who looked after us, despite his young age, very kind
F	Frederic Schwenk on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing restaurant and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended to those who want to experience the real Italy far away from the busy tourist areas. The family run-winery is easy to reach from Rome and the airports closeby. We were just passing by at the autostrade on our way to Napoli. We’ve been offered an experienced which we will never forget. The service was exceptional. The owner gave as a free tour through his wine making process from the plants, the factory and packaging to the wine cellar where the wine is being matured. The rest of the days were filled by recommended activities in the Lazio area including a visit of Rome, the coast of Gaeta and the beautiful town agagni and piglio. The cesanese wine to which we were introduced is one of the best wines we’ve ever drank. The food was amazing. Everything was very fresh and delivered by local farmers. We could decide between different menus in the evening. We definitely suggest to eat the cheese varieties, the cesanese jam, pasta and the different meats. The breakfast also exceeded our expectations - fresh muffins, tasty local fruits, homemade bread, cakes and Italian coffee and cappuccino. On request you could also order Omlets or cold plates with salami, ham and cheese. We didn’t miss anything. Thanks to Stefano & Gabriella for the great stay We will definitely come back soon. Hopefully in the harvesting season.
