Aeroporto Ciampino

Ein kleiner überschaubarer Busbahnhof. Hat ein bisschen den Charme der vergangenen Jahrzehnte, aber erfüllt seinen Zweck. Auf ein kleinen Busbahnhof muss niemand lange seinem Bus suchen. Der ganze Busbahnhof wirkt sauber, wenn auch nicht super gepflegt. Gemütlicher und schattiger Wartebereich.

Bus 720 to Laurentina is a great idea and works well!

Last night bus to Roma termini at 0:15 a.m. not arrived. We was forced to walking and chased by street dogs.

Closes at 11:30pm. So of your flight is delayed, you'll be flown to Fiumicino. Then you either have a free bus to Ciampino, or you're on your own.

ENGLISH: Before leaving the airport and using the 520 or 720 bus you have to buy an ATAC ticket for 1.50 Euro at the tourist information of Rome who will help you. Then you use the exit and after 50m straight forward there is this bus station of ATAC. The 520 drives you to the metro station Cinecittà, that belongs to Metro A, the 720 drives you to metro station Laurentina, that belongs to Metro B, but it is possible to switch between A and B in Termini. The bus driver CANNOT sell tickets, but you stamp your ticket in the little machine 2m left from the driver. Now the 1,50-Ticket is valid for 100 minutes and in this time frame you can use all buses and trams of ATAC and enter the metro once in addition. On 8th of October 2019 this was correct and had been correct for over a year. DEUTSCH: Bevor du das Flughafengebäude verläßt, um den 520 oder 720 Bus zu benutzen, kaufe unbedingt ein 1,50€ Ticket der ATAC bei der Touristinfo im Flughafen. Dann benutze den Ausgang und 50m geradeaus ist diese Bushaltestelle der ATAC. Der 520 fährt dich zur Station Cinecittà der Linie A, der 720 fährt doch zur Station Laurentina der Linie B. Es ist aber möglich in Termini zwischen Linie A und B zu wechseln. Der Busfahrer verkauft keine Tickets. Du aber gehst weiter im Bus und stempelst dein Ticket in dem kleinen Automaten 2m links vom Fahrer. Jetzt ist das Ticket gültig für 100 Minuten in der Tram und in den Bussen der ATAC und du kannst einmal zusätzlich die Metro betreten. Am 8ten Oktober 2019 war diese Information korrekt.

Small airport and struck me as a good deal disorganized. Passports control staff were missing in action, and I was told they'd get there by the time it was time to board my flight. Do know that this is a very small airport and that you will have to line up to take a bus to your flight--so don't push it till too late in getting to the airport. There was nowhere to sit while waiting for the bus to go to plane. All in all, airport is kind of out of the way and not very convenient. Not terrible, but I think I'll opt for FCO instead next time.
