Ringrazio l'Accademia per non aver tutelato sei alunni, su sette iscritti nell'anno scolastico 2019/2020, a causa dell'incompetenza all'insegnamento del professor Massimo Chiappetta. Se avessi voluto studiare filosofia, mi sarei iscritta all'Università in via Balbi.
I thank the Academy for not having protected six pupils, out of seven enrolled in the 2019/2020 school year, due to the incompetence of Professor Massimo Chiappetta's teaching. If I had wanted to study philosophy, I would have enrolled at the University in via Balbi. I don't question the professor's knowledge, but it's a pity that I enrolled in sculpture to learn the techniques ... And not to waste time listening to speeches without rhyme or reason. And beyond that, practical teaching was absent, as students had to ask the material how it should be worked; and therefore ... destroyed hands and projects to start over, after hours of work, due to the lack of precise instructions. Yes ... the secretariat summoned us and listened to us, but without reaching conclusions. The professor will retire, having destroyed the minds of students for thirty years. How will the moral damage and wasted time be repaid? I invite you to an examination of conscience ...

The seat of the museum is the same Ligurian Academy of Fine Arts in neo-classical mansion, overlooking Piazza De Ferrari, right next to the Teatro Carlo Felice; occupies the first floor of the building with its ten exhibition rooms; Ligurian art has a wide documentation from the fifteenth to the twentieth century and houses more than three hundred exhibits: paintings, drawings, sculptures in marble, plaster casts, displayed in rotation.

I hadn't planned to visit it, but it was on the way, and it was a nice human experience, a guide (I think?) caught me while I was speeding (because my timing was tight, do a max of museum with the Genova Museum Card), telling me in Italian to admire the works. At first, I was a little annoyed but given the benevolence of the (elderly) person, and his enthusiasm for the works, I let myself be carried away by his passion, and even if I understood almost nothing, it was a nice moment. , a bit like the mama who explains the wonders of life to you Knowing that I believe it was free (even if I had my card), the academy and its content is top notch!

I meet one of the curators in the stairs getting there, he was super friendly and seamd very happy to have a Swedish visitor :) "La pesca miraculosa" by Giuseppe Cominette was one of my highlights on this trip, and a pure bonus, nothing I had planned before going to Genoa :)
