Deve essere un patrimonio fruibile da tutti. it is a shame that such a beautiful and ancient Abbey cannot be visited as it did many years ago. It must be a heritage that can be enjoyed by all.
m	manuele Vigorito on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L' Abbazia di San Giovanni ha un'importante storia fin dalla data della sua fondazione avvenuta nel 1084 grazie ad un monaco benedettino milanese. Oggi é un gran peccato che non si possa visitare all'interno. Il sentiero sia prima che dopo l'Abbazia non è segnalato e non curato (quasi abbandonato). Se si prosegue si possono trovare il Ponte Romano sopra il torrente del Seveso e le cascate del Sciabatt. Nel caso si volesse fare questa camminata è opportuno scaricare da internet la mappa della zona per non perdersi nei sentieri. The Abbey of San Giovanni has an important history since its foundation in 1084 thanks to a Milanese Benedictine monk. Today it is a great pity that we cannot visit inside. The path both before and after the Abbey is unmarked and uncared for (almost abandoned). If you continue you can find the Roman Bridge over the Seveso stream and the Sciabatt waterfalls. Dalla collina su cui è stata edificata domina la valle del torrente Seveso. L'antica struttura è stata ristrutturata ed il parco sistemato. In questi giorni stanno sistemando la strada di accesso, spargendo malamente la terra nei boschi circostanti. The abbey was built in a quiet place, there are no noises, and is surrounded by woods. From the hill on which it was built it dominates the valley of the Seveso stream. The ancient structure has been renovated and the park has been restored.
