★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very enjoyable and unique experience! Raffaello and his wife are a most wonderful host / hostess - truly like bumping into old friends. The afternoon was very relaxing and conversations flowed over wonderful homemade plates and a great variety of wines. I’m not at all a big wine drinker nor know the finer details of what makes a good wine - but really enjoyed the full experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Raffaello’s and Donella’s vineyard, farm, and home. We cannot wait to visit the place again and we cannot recommend it enough! If this post sounds too perfect, it’s because for us, this experience was.
To me, the visit to A Solatio was more than tasting wine alongside appetizers in the beautiful fields of Tuscany. Don’t get me wrong, this was exactly what we were looking for, as everyone who visits Tuscany should, and this would have been enough. However, spending time with Raffaello, Donella, Suzanna (and Rosita of course!) turned a daily adventure in the life of a tourist into something much more precious.
After a tour of the vineyards enjoying extraordinary panoramic views, we were seated outside together with a pleasant couple from Holland. Raffaello introduced us to his wines and served us a variety of appetizers which his wife Donella had just prepared earlier that day (it was a last minute booking for 5 but they graciously accepted our request!).
The setting, the wines, the food, Donella’s olive oil, and the company were perfect. The frosting on this day was Raffaello’s and Donella’s warm, nurturing, and welcoming disposition towards us as their guests. And this is exactly how we ended the day - feeling welcomed, nurtured and warm.
Indeed, spending time at A Solatio sincerely felt like a cure for the soul.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was hands down the best, most authentic tasting we’ve had in Tuscany! Raffaello and his wife were so warm and lovely. Rafaello greeted us upon arrival, walked us around the property and the cellar and shared the history of the vineyard. Afterwards we were led to a cozy gazebo for a decadent 3 course lunch with a tasting of 5 wines. The food was delicious, with many produce grown at their garden. Rafaello spent 3 hours with us sharing stories and explaining the wines- it was truly a lovely (and delicious) experience! We felt like we were old friends, despite only having met 30 minutes ago. The charge was 50€ p/p for the lunch and tasting, which was more than worth it. We also purchased 5 bottles of wine (would have bought more but couldn’t fit more with our travels), as every wine we tasted was marvelous. Definitely highly recommend this small but the most authentic vineyard!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stumbled upon this wine tasting experience by accident. We wanted to go visit a place nearby. I called and we could come over within half an hour and together with four others we had an afternoon of amazing wine, olive oil and the best food! Rafaello was such a great host: warm, kind, with a lot of humor and told with such passion about his wine making. Would definitely recommend going here!! The vineyard itself has multiple places to sit so we had an entree at one beautiful terrace, walked to another one with a beautiful view and had the food and more drinks at another super cozy and beautiful place. Thank you for this wonderful experience!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a must have experience. Rafaello (hope I wrote it correctly), beyond produce excellent quality wine, he received us like home, very warm welcoming into his property and provided us great knowledge and experience. It was a really lovely wine tasting afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for an organic winemaker in the Chianti region and stumbled upon the beautiful farm of Raffaello and Donella.
Me and my boyfriend were extremely lucky to be the only guests of the night for the tasting dinner. We had lovely conversations with Raffaello and felt so lucky to be their guests.
About the wine, you can taste the love and dedication in each one of them. The entire experience was amazing. The wines, olive oils with the amazing food cooked by Donella are a match made in heaven.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, what an absolutely fantastic experience. We had an afternoon vineyard tour and wine tasting, and I honestly cannot recommend A Solatio enough. If you are on the fence about booking, book!
The afternoon was so much more than a wine tasting. You will walk through beautiful vineyards, see the rolling Tuscan hills, be fed delicious food, and most importantly taste fantastic wine.
Furthermore, the experience was made so special by Raffaello. He was a fantastic host, explaining so many interesting things about wine and olive oil making, and answering so many of our questions in a passionate and eager way.
This was the last day of our holiday in Tuscany, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to end it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the best experience I had in Toscana, the value for the price is phenomenal and you can really feel authentic family atmosphere there. We are giving 5 starts but if we could we would give more!!!
We were taking around the wine yard by the lovely Raffaello, and then their wonderfully set up wine tasting room to enjoy 4 different wine accompanied by appetiser, all of which were amazing!!! The guide Raffaello, is extremely knowledgeable and he manage to explain very complex process of wine making in words we both understood, since we were not much expert, the place is magnificent, one of the best experience!!
Would highly recommended it to anyone visiting this area!!!
