Per ben 3 volte durante la nostra settimana qui a Ponza siamo andati in barca con lui... non guarda l'orologio ma ti fa vedere sotto ogni angolo i dettagli di Palmarola e non solo! Bellissime le grotte che ci ha fatto visitare sia con la barca che accompagnandoci anche a nuoto...se volete fare un vero tour delle isole vicino Ponza affidatevi al grande zio Jack! Il giorno in cui dovevamo affittare la barca non era bel tempo e ci ha proposto di posticipare al giorno dopo per avere un’esperienza migliore. Eravamo quattro ragazze. Zio Jack, lo skipper, è una persona meravigliosa. Sulla barca (comoda, bella e spaziosa) ci ha fatto trovare la ghiacciaia con dentro l’acqua e ci ha dato una cassa impermeabile per mettere un po’ di musica. Partendo dalle piscine naturali (a 20 minuti di navetta da Ponza) abbiamo fatto un bellissimo giro intorno a Palmarola. Zio Jack ci spiegava la storia e i nomi delle zone più belle e ci faceva fare delle soste per tuffarci, rilassarci al sole e fare delle foto. Abbiamo attraversato anche bellissimi sentieri in mezzo alle rocce in cui le altre barche (quelle con più turisti) non andavano. Al ritorno ci ha riaccompagnato direttamente al porto. Insomma, è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa che consiglio vivamente. Quando ritorneremo a Ponza ricontatteremo sicuramente zio Jack! A WARRANTY The girl we contacted for the boat was very kind and very helpful. The day we had to rent the boat was not good weather and he suggested that we postpone it to the next day to have a better experience. We were four girls. Uncle Jack, the skipper, is a wonderful person. On the boat (comfortable, beautiful and spacious) he let us find the icebox with water in it and gave us a waterproof case to put some music on. Starting from the natural pools (20 minutes by shuttle from Ponza) we took a beautiful tour around Palmarola. Uncle Jack explained the history and the names of the most beautiful areas and made us make stops to dive, relax in the sun and take pictures. We also crossed beautiful paths in the middle of the rocks where the other boats (the ones with more tourists) did not go. On our return he drove us directly back to the port. In short, it was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend. When we return to Ponza we will definitely contact Uncle Jack!

Le nostre aspettative si sono rivelate perfettamente all'altezza. La cortesia e la gentilezza la fanno da padrona, e già dai primi minuti presso le imbarcazioni la moglie di zio Jack si è mostrata disponibile e gentile nel soddisfare le nostre richieste. Abbiamo deciso di procedere per una gita guidata a Palmarola con zio Jack come skipper. Quest'ultimo è apparso fin da subito come un vecchio amico, facendoci sentire a nostro agio. L'entusiasmo di Zio Jack nel visitare l'isola come se fosse la sua prima volta è la chiave del loro ottimo lavoro. Egli infatti ci ha mostrato ogni angolo dell'isola lasciandoci tutto il tempo per sostare a fare il bagno. Il suo gozzo per 10-12 persone si è rivelato perfettamente consono a rispettare le distanze di sicurezza previste e per avere una certa comodità a bordo. Il viaggio ha inizio alle 10e30 con rientro previsto per le ore 18.00 ed è caratterizzato dalla sua ottima compagnia nello spiegare la storia e i luoghi dell'isola. Sicuramente diverso dai noleggi commerciali e più costosi intravisti nella zona del porto Da ripetere.
