I lived in one of thier apartments for 5 months while going to school in Florence, and the last two weeks we were there, it got really rainy and mold started to form under all of our windows, which we told them about several times, and they never came and did anything! (two girls got sick from it!) They're trying to keep $400 from our security deposit from it! And it gets WORSE. They charged us another $400 for "broken or damaged items", when all the dishes were chipped when we moved in, and 1/2 the items on the list were never even in the apartment! they're clearly trying to scam money off who they thing are some dumb American girls!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived in Florence just over two years ago. The deeply caring staff of Windows on Italy were extraordinary in their efforts to please me. There actually was a hiccup with a construction noise problem at my first residence and after offering proof of the problem the staff facilitated a move that was quick and effortless. This group of real estate professionals are truly dedicated to their work and make the client feel like family. After two years in Florence , I still stop by the office on via dei Serragli for a warm hello from the dedicated staff that have become my friends. As a retired American living in Italy and with some experience in the business of real property rentals and sales , I would give Windows on Italy the highest grades for their genuine and sincere efforts to please their clients. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have hundreds of beautiful, modern properties right in the heart of Florence. Fantastically helpful and professional staff -- everyone from Thais and Jennifer in the office, to the maintenance team who handle even the most minor issues without delay. Also -- and this is a big one for these types of rental agencies -- they're completely upfront on their pricing (i.e. no sneaky "agency fees" or surcharges secretly making their way onto your rental bill).
I can't speak to any other Italian cities, but for Florence, they're definitely the best we've ever dealt with. We booked from six thousand miles away, sight unseen, and couldn't be happier with the result.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for an apartment that will be central to exploring all Florence has to offer this is the place! We easily walked there from the train station and our wonderful greeter was there waiting for us to show us into the apt and how it all worked. What a great welcome! There are restaurants, markets, and all the must-see tourist attractions within easy walking distance. The apt is setup wonderful for multiple people to have privacy and yet there are large outdoor and indoor spaces to be together. Fantastic apt with everything you could ask for! Service from the hosts makes it exceptional! Thanks Emma and Saeed for your help to make our stay so fabulous!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very disappointed with Windows on Italy. We always go to Florence twice a year and since 2014 we have been renting our apartment through Windows on Italy. This year 2 days before our trip I was rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgery and I was not able to travel because of that. We contacted Windows on Italy asking for a refund, at least a partial one, or a credit towards another rent, but they refused to do it. We even sent them the doctor's papers and they did not even acknowledge that. Anyway, very disappointed and I'll be not using their services again. Be aware that they will not refund your money even if there is an emergency. It appears that it does not matter to them if you are a loyal customer or not. I'll be using Airbnb for now.
Update: 11/28/2019 - I had given them a one star before and I'm now updating my review to 5 stars to reflect what happened after I was contacted by Windows on Italy.
After replying to the owner's response, I was contact by Thais Benedetti, Guest Experience Specialist, and she asked for the details of the misunderstanding. She offered me full refund or credit towards a new rent. After choosing the credit, I'll be seeing them back there in Florence in April. I'm very happy with the resolution and Thais' effort to resolve it quickly and to satisfaction of both parties. At the end it was a big misunderstanding and she showed that Windows on Italy cares for its customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our Florence apartment was perfect for us in terms of location and layout! The Windows on Italy website photos and descriptions of the amenities are accurate in every way. The Guest Experience team, available by phone 24/7, offered completely personalized attention at each step of our trip from reservations to our arrival, our stay, and our departure. Our reservation/sales specialist, Laryssa, made sure the booking and payments went smoothly. During our visit, Thais Benedetti was wonderful, always available by email, responding quickly to questions about the apartment and the city, as well as arranging for an early taxi the day of our departure. The team really helped make this a great vacation and of course we have already made plans to return!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a wonderful site for alternative places to stay in Florence Italy. We have used it a few times with no problems when booking an apartment. Recently though, I sent a message asking a question to one of the potential apartments and no response was given. All in all, it is a dependable site to look for apartments that are not too expensive.
