★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il sentiero per arrivarci è agevole ed adatto anche alle famiglie nonostante si tratti comunque di una salita. Dal rifugio Cagnola la vista è piacevole e spazia dalla pianura fino ai rilievi intorno al Lago Maggiore.
The path to get there is easy and suitable for families even though it is still a climb. From the Cagnola refuge, the view is pleasant and ranges from the plains to the hills around Lake Maggiore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Partenza dalla sede delle GEV (guardie ecologiche volontarie), ove c'è anche l'Adventure Park (Villa Cagnola) e attraverso una carrozzabile, sterrata, ben tenuta si sale fino al Rifugio Cagnola (praticamente posto più in alto e sopra il monumento del Vittorioso), a due passi dalla cima del Monte Legnone. La vista a 360 gradi è impagabile e scorre fino al Lago Maggiore e Luino. Proseguendo il sentiero si possono raggiungere Santa Maria del Monte o il Campo dei Fiori. Escursione facile in ambiente molto curato. Non male a meno di quindici minuti dal centro di Varese
Departure from the headquarters of the GEV (voluntary ecological guards), where there is also the Adventure Park (Villa Cagnola) and through a carriage road, dirt, well kept up to the Rifugio Cagnola (practically higher and above the monument of Vittorioso), a stone's throw from the top of Monte Legnone. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Salita al rifugio Cagnola in cemento partendo dal park dopo il parco avventura .. sentiero agevole adatto a tutti . Fatto in 35 minuti a buon passo con alcune scorciatoie ben indicate “monte legnone via breve “ .
Buona sgambata domenicale . Se si vuole proseguire verso il monte legnone il sentiero diventa più stretto e ripido ..
Ascent to the concrete Cagnola refuge starting from the park after the adventure park .. easy path suitable for everyone. Done in 35 minutes at a good pace with some well-indicated shortcuts "monte legnone via breve".
Good Sunday walk. If you want to continue towards Mount Legnone, the path becomes narrower and steeper ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Astonishing views on the mountains and the valley beneath them. Absolutely must see place - you need to climb to the very top of the cliff. I recommend to visit it in the beginning of November - when the trees are becoming red and yellow and whole area is painted with amazing colors. I visited this place in the end of November - the weather wasn't that pleasant, but still the place and the views are tremendous.
