Poi, si possono distribuire opuscoli e cartine ma non basta... Oltre al lago con acqua limpida, i vialetti ombreggiati da platani altissimi ed ornati da stupende varietà di ortensie, ristoranti e pizzerie sia sul lago che all'interno del centro storico, dove servono piatti di ottimo pesce di lago e di mare, c'è un centro medioevale circondato da mura e con un interessante castello. Qui è presente un museo etnologico ed un acquario che mostra tutte le speci di pesci lacustri del mondo. Dalla rocca si gode un panorama a 360°(monti vulsini, paese sottostante ed il lago di Bolsena). Inoltre nella collegiata di Santa Cristina è interessante visitare le catacombe risalenti al 500 d.C.e la storia del Miracolo del Corpus Domini.Prima di lasciare questo posto bisogna portar via il vino Cannaiola, l'olio, i biscotti fatti con le nocciole intere, le crostate con le visciole. Da gustare il gelato artigianale della premiata gelateria Lolla. Bolsena has numerous attractions! The city maintains and displays its Etruscan roots with pride, adorning pillars, doors, and gateways with clay etruscan statuettes. Wandering around the city, you will encounter sites to visit and little interesting shops. I was, however, disappointed by the lake front walk. The promenade is constantly interrupted by restaurants and cafés. This would be okay, except that the pathway disappears and you must walk on the street with cars. There's no clear beginning or end. A missed opportunity. Worth a visit and wander in the centre if you're in the area.
