Villaggio MELARIA

Del villaggio in sé posso solo scrivere bene: casette esternamente molto carine, interno un po’ datato, ma funzionale e pulito. La struttura è in posizione comoda e tranquilla. Il bar segnalato per la colazione è in realtà chiuso la mattina, ma aperto tutto il pomeriggio/sera all’interno di un bel parco giochi. La colazione, come un buon pranzo o la cena, si possono consumare alla Locanda Vittoria che tra l’altro è ottima. Il problema per cui avrei voluto mettere una stella riguarda invece la gestione di questa struttura. Noi abbiamo prenotato tramite booking, ma viste le recensioni non proprio positive, ho chiamato per verificare la prenotazione e chiedere chiarimenti su quanto fosse necessario portare e cosa avremmo trovato in loco. La signora Valentina è stata un po’ sbrigativa, ma ci ha risposto. Il giorno dell’arrivo, abbiamo chiamato per avvisare che ci trovavamo nel villaggio e abbiamo atteso una decina di minuti perché arrivasse a dirci che aveva problemi e non c’era il nostro appartamento disponibile!!! Ci ha chiesto da dove arrivassimo - evidentemente sperando potessimo tornare indietro ?- e si è poi messa a chiamare per trovarci una stanza in qualche hotel limitrofo, finché ci ha mandato in un posto indecente e indescrivibile (Albergo La Rosa di Tolmezzo già recensito), promettendo di risolvere per il giorno dopo, ma senza farci le sue scuse, né mostrando di rendersi conto della gravità di quanto era successo. Il giorno dopo ci ha tirato per le lunghe fino alle 18.30, quando finalmente ci ha consegnato l’appartamento, senza la tavoletta del water…che ci siamo dovuti andare a comprare perché ha risposto che “lei non aveva avuto tempo”, ma che dovevamo essere contenti che ci avesse pulito l’appartamento ?. Alle nostre esplicite rimostranze sulle difficoltà che ci aveva creato, ha risposto: “non sapete quanti problemi ho io con i clienti!”. Non ci ha dato indicazioni per la differenziata, né è tornata con la tavoletta. Davvero nessuna professionalità, correttezza o empatia. Un vero peccato per un posto tanto bello. Su 4 giorni di vacanza, ce ne ha rovinati 2.

Arrivati sabato 14 agosto dopo 6 ore di viaggio, con due bambine e con permanenza prevista fino a domenica 22, ci viene comunicato che il nostro alloggio non è disponibile. Veniamo indirizzati verso un'altra struttura nel paese vicino (Viaso) dove troviamo finalmente collocazione. La nuova collocazione è solo fortuna data la rinuncia di qualche ora prima di altri clienti. Questo ci comporta che anzichè poter terminare la nostra UNICA vacanza estiva domenica 22, siamo costretti a effettuare chekout venerdi 20. Nella giornata di Domenica siamo invitati a cercarci noi una sistemazione perchè sia Booking (tramite il quale avevamo prenotato e che per due giorni non ci ha risposto) sia la struttura erano uccel di bosco. Alternativa cercare nuova sistemazione da venerdi a domenica che, sinceramente era la soluzione peggiore ( rifare i bagagli per un giorno e mezzo). Con Booking sempre in attesa, siamo riusciti ad ottenere almeno il rimborso delle due notti alle quali abbiamo dovuto rinunciare. Grazie mille a Villaggio Melaria per aver rovinato la settimana di vacanza. State all'occhio, non fidatevi. Spendete qualche euro in più e cercate una sistemazione sicura.

Looks great... On the outside. Inside, old furniture, but the sheets were clean, no toiletries. Staff speaks no English.

Nice atmosphere and location, but the house is missing some useful things and the interior looks worn and old.

the location is great, the concept also very appealing (own small cottage with little green area, parking in front of the doors), unfortunately the shock comes with opening of the door :-( BUT, the rooms were small, the bed and sofa as well, i'm not sure if those were for adults or only for kids. but ok i'm not picky here ... the shock came with cleanness of the rooms (old stuff with usage 'maps' of whatever origin), this would not be visible, if bed sheets were provided, no there were no bed sheets provided, no towel nothing, really, i would not believe this if someone tells me. we were whole family here with 3 kids (Sunday evening ... a trap kind of), we didn't risk to get some under-the-skinn pets we refused to stay and requested storno action. forget it, there is no communication, no support, money dissapears (not small amount for 6 nights) from your credit card and you won't see them again ... so, if no support, no responses, robbery of your money does not hurt you, then this is the place to recommend. if you DO mind this, STAY AWAY from this bandit place.

We keep coming back to Melaria because at this point we know what our expectations are. It is convenient for a small group travelling around Friuli, especially if you have a car. Yes, the beds are old, and especially the bunk beds are really loud for restless sleepers. No sheets are provided, so we go there with our sleeping bags. There is one restaurant/bar usually open in the village. The first time we were able to go there and eat inside (Locanda Vittoria - really good food btw). Obviously it is not possible now, and the next best option was Pizzeria Luna Rossa in Villa Santina. (we had to go that far due to time restrictions, but still it is an option - also delicious pizza) It is possible to cook in the cabin, indeed we usually have a full international breakfast there before the check-out. But then you need to clean up everything afterwards and there is no dish soap. (Among other things like toilet rolls or paper towels.) Mentioning that only because sometimes the stuff needed to bring with you is just too much for a short stay. Caution - Number 5 in the mini fridge dial freezes everything! You can keep it around 3 =) One really down side would be the showers. The hot water is sometimes not reliable. And the water pressure is really low. Would it help you clean up? Yes! But it just isn't that satisfactory. Edit: I have seen in the other reviews that some people had to wait a long time to get the keys. We usually contact them about our estimated arrival time and also give a call when we arrive. We haven't yet waited more than 10 minutes.

Great location with a good feel, the idea behind it is great. Unfortunately the rolka are rather small and there were no towels or bed sheets provided. The host was welcoming. I think this płace is ideal for someone more „hippy” and laid back groop of friends for a few nights rather than a family with kids.
