★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful villa. There is always the slight worry that a place may not be as nice as shown in the brochure pictures but we were not dissapointed here. Villa Mandorle was everything we hoped it would be and more. Spacious and airy rooms inside, clean and well maintained, fully equipped with everything we could possibly need for a self catering holiday, stunning grounds and views, and of course the swimming pool. Pictures do not do the place justice. The villa is the last on the road and although there is another villa next door and a few more dotted around the area, we felt like we had privacy. If getting a hire car go for something reasinably small, the lane to get to the villa is narrow, winding and has stone walls either side. The towns Ostuni and Alberobello are well worth a visit and are about 30 minutes away by car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced for what it is. The villa is full of wardrobes that are full of things for the maids. The pool has no filteration grids so had to spend an hour everyday cleaning out the scorpions and all the bugs before anyone could use it. Broken glass shower screen in the annexe which is very dangerous. The pool table is sloped to one side so you can't play a proper game and there's a step right at the side which you fall down when playing. There are no rubbish bins, you are expected to drive your rubbish to a collection point on a Tues and Thurs even though every other villa in the area has rubbish bins. The maids kick you out of the villa for 4 hours on a Saturday while cleaning.
