Villa Le Fontanelle

Just stunning! The venue is really magical, all the details are super well taken care of. I visited the venue in a rainy day but all the charme was there and they lighted up the main fireplace in the big hall.

Beautiful hotel. Amazing venue for weddings. One thing to keep in mind: The driveway is long and unpaved. Many taxis refuse to drive from the gate to up to the villa because they tend to scrape their undercarriage on the gravel. A bit far from central Florence also.

Absolutely amazing hotel building and facility and perfect place to have a wedding! I was there for my friends wedding and stayed overnight at the hotel rooms, which was very luxurious. I will not be able to forget this magical experience. We received gift bags from the couple that was getting married and the reception staff were responsible for delivering these into the rooms. We had cash lying on the bed in our room and when we returned we sadly noticed €50 was missing. Spoke to reception and management about this both during the evening and morning after. They simply said no one had taken the money and showed no interest in the incident. We were in the end offered to start a police investigation that would, if they came to the conclusion that no one took the money, would cost us €400. No thank you. The whole time felt judged by the site manager that only presented the obstacles rather than being helpful in this. I mean there were someone in the room and yet she was talking about going through video surveillance which also appearently was erased after 24 hours which would only prove someone has been in our room. We payed a lot of money for this wedding and the rooms are not cheap. Been to so many hotels and hostels during my lifetime and never have i had anything taken. The 1 star review is for the ignorance and the distrust I myself as a guest felt and no interest to resolve this and that I all the time felt like a liar throughout whilst talking with the manager.

That's an amazing location to celebrate a wedding, with an incredible view on Florence. As a wedding photographer in Florence I had the pleasure to shoot here (3 times) and the atmosphere was fantastic. Great job!

We had amazing time in this gorgeous villa.the room is exquisite,we had dinner and delicious breakfast as well..I will definitely come back to stay there for the next trip to Florence

What an absolute stunning gem of a property. The hostess or manager that was there when I arrived was simply amazing. They treated my puppy like royalty. The rooms are beautiful and I wish I was able to stay longer, but was only passing through. I will 1000% be back.

Stayed 4 nights at this very atmospheric , historic stately home with private chapel, around 4-5 km north of the Duomo. It is located in a stunning setting on the hills overlooking the Arno valley below. The access is off a narrow one-way street near the university hospital, via a private access gravel road twisting further up the hill. Fantastic views of the city of Florence below. Very good lunch & dinner on site, but appeared to be mostly for hotel guests. Spacious romantic rooms with gorgeous views, decorated in a traditional way. Appears popular for photo shoots (fashion) & weddings- one can see why; it is a supremely photogenic place. Very friendly & accommodating staff, plus a few big dogs that my 2 year old daughter fell in love with. Recommended!

Really good food and breath taking views of the hills and Florence. We had a wonderful lunch and every single dish was tasty and attentively cooked. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and we all really get at home. I would definitely recommend this place for a special celebration.
