★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Villa Giacomelli fu costruita nel 1852 su progetto dell’architetto Andrea Scala, come residenza di campagna per la famiglia Giacomelli, trasferitasi a Udine dopo aver fatto fortuna con il commercio e la filatura. Il corpo centrale, su tre piani, venne destinato ad abitazione, mentre le ali laterali erano dedicate alle attività agricole. Gli interni di Villa Giacomelli, con il Salone degli Antenati e il Salone delle Statue, sono impreziositi da affreschi di Giuseppe Malignani, tele di Ippolito Caffi, una collezione di dipinti degli antenati Giacomelli, sculture di Vincenzo Luccardi e raffinati pavimenti in legno. La Villa è immersa in un grande parco romantico all’inglese, con grotta e laghetto. Oggi Villa Giacomelli, in parte adibita a residenza, è sede dell'azienda agricola di famiglia e accoglie, nell'ariosa Limonaia e in altre sale, matrimoni ed eventi.
Villa Giacomelli was built in 1852 to a design by the architect Andrea Scala, as a country residence for the Giacomelli family, who moved to Udine after having made his fortune through trade and spinning. The central body, on three floors, was used as a dwelling, while the side wings were dedicated to agricultural activities. The interiors of Villa Giacomelli, with the Hall of Ancestors and the Hall of Statues, are embellished with frescoes by Giuseppe Malignani, paintings by Ippolito Caffi, a collection of paintings by the Giacomelli ancestors, sculptures by Vincenzo Luccardi and refined wooden floors. The Villa is immersed in a large romantic English park, with a cave and a small lake. Today Villa Giacomelli, partly used as a residence, is the home of the family farm and welcomes, in the airy Limonaia and in other rooms, weddings and events.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ci sono stata per un ricevimento di matrimonio. Splendido ilparco e bellissima la villa. L'ingresso sembra un po' trascurato, ma una volta dentro si rimane a bocca aperta.
I was there for a wedding reception. The park is splendid and the villa is beautiful. The entrance looks a bit neglected, but once inside you are left speechless.

From the street you can only see its size, but it is its view from the inside, its large rooms, all in excellent condition, and the large garden that make it truly fascinating. Very suitable for important conferences and, particularly, for weddings. Unforgettable days!
