★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extérieurement, très belle villa, intérieur tout est à rénover, pas grand chose subsiste de Bischoffsheim (2 meubles) très belle vue sur Bordighera. Bon commentaire.

Meta principalmente di visite guidate per bambini che possono godere anche del bel giardino antistante la villa.
Villa Etilenda, built in the 19th century to be the summer residence of Queen Margherita of Savoy, is now a museum located on the Via Romana, a few steps from the city center.
Mainly a destination for guided tours for children who can also enjoy the beautiful garden in front of the villa.

Venne commissionata dal banchiere e immobilialista Bischoffsheim che la vendette al conte inglese Bowes-Lyon. La figlia del lord compose un'opera intitolata Etelinda. La proprietà passò alla Regina Margherita di Savoia per qualche anno. Ora di villa Etelinda si occupa un'associazione che la apre periodicamente a visite guidate e conferenze storiche. Da visitare!
A historic villa in Bordighera, designed by the architect Garnier, the same of the Paris Opera and that of Monte Carlo. It was commissioned by the banker and real estate developer Bischoffsheim who sold it to the English count Bowes-Lyon. The lord's daughter composed an opera entitled Etelinda. The property passed to Queen Margherita of Savoy for a few years. Ora di Villa Etelinda is managed by an association that periodically opens it to guided tours and historical conferences. To visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful experience from a different angle. Being able to stand in the same place that Claude Monet positioned himself to paint one of his famous paintings was priceless. Learning about the history of the Italian Queen and her guests, including British royalty, was fascinating.
