Venice Apartments

AVOID THIS HOTEL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! The good; Spacious room in the heart of Venice. Quiet hotel and area. The bad; Air conditioning is terrible. Internet on for 5 minutes, off for 5 minutes. Retrofitted electrical in bathroom is appalling if this is allowed Italy. Wall outlet installed in shower right about shower head should be a clear Electrical Code violation. Room not cleaned daily. The front desk, which is a 10 minute walk away at another hotel, is only open from 0900-1500 HRS daily. If you have any problem or emergency outside those hours, too bad for you. The pillows and bed were uncomfortable. Book early, so you don't have to stay here. Heed my warning. Response to owners that accused me of not staying at the hotel: My wife made the reservation, so it is under her name. Fake review? Give me a break. Why would I take the time to write a fake review of a hotel that is on the other side of the world? If anyone doesn't believe me, please stay at this hotel and then afterwards you can regret you didn't listen to my warning. I took pictures of the room as proof. If you want me to post them, accuse me of lying again.

The duo of Mick and Annalisa are responsible for veniceapartments.org. They are remarkably available and responsive from the point of initial inquiry all the way to the final hours of our almost 3-month stay in Venice. We stayed at 3 of their apartments from Nov 2020 to Jan 2021: Marco Polo Terrace and Sunny Canal in Cannareggio, and Patrizio on the Zattare. We were delighted that all the apartments were as described on their website and shown in the photos. Additionally, Mick and Annalisa were very candid in replying to any questions we had about the condition, location and setup of the apartments. We traveled to Venice during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic, and were very concerned about borders closing and lockdowns, but Mick and Annalisa were incredibly understanding and offered a full refund of our deposit right up to start of our rental should we find ourselves unable to get to Italy due to flight cancellations or border restrictions. No other landlord offered such flexible cancellation terms. It was the main reason we booked with them as they were willing to accommodate the highly unusual circumstances of traveling and renting during a pandemic. We felt we would be taken care of, and we were absolutely right! Here are some examples of how Mick and Annalisa helped us during our stay: -As we were long-stay renters and I like to cook, we requested a few extra items for the kitchen. Annalisa went over and above, and brought us 2 giant shopping bags of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, baking trays, cutlery and even a hand blender. -When the apartment below ours started renovations, Mick immediately relocated us. He even took time to show us the city when showing us alternative apartments. -When our home country instituted Covid swab test requirements for entry, Mick also helped us arrange for departure Covid swab tests at a local clinic. -A last minute flight change required us to get a taxi at 4.30am to the airport, Mick was available late in the evening to make all the arrangements for us. We highly recommend renting from veniceapartments.org when in Venice. Mick and Annalisa will be as open, swift, and hands-on as possible in seeing to the satisfaction, safety and comfort of any guest of their properties. They believe in building long term relationships and are a true pleasure to work with.

We should have been staying in this apartment for the third time next week after rolling the booking over from last year (thanks COVID) but unfortunately it isn’t going to happen again. Venice Apartments have been so understanding and nothing has been too much trouble, they have been proactive in keeping us informed and rolling the deposit over for yet another was a simple operation. We are missing our visit to the Grandelux apartment

Rosalba's House - Grandelux apartment I loved staying in this apartment for a week. The location is perfect. Incredibly central and convenient. The small terrace on the Grand Canal is heavenly for morning breakfast and evening drinks. The apartment is the perfect size for a single person or a couple. And between the courtyard and the small terrace one is spoilt for choice. The location is very quiet and perfect for relaxing and a great place from which to explore the city. The house was, in the 18th-century, the residence of the most celebrated woman painter in Venice - Rosalba Carriera. It was very moving to share her home.

An absolutely superb apartment. Large, immaculate, and with spectacular views on to the Grand Canal. The booking process from start to finish was handled impeccably.

The three of us so enjoyed this spacious apartment on the Dorsoduro in Venice. It is located right by a Vaporetto stop and also above a Grocery Store - handy for getting all of your supplies while staying here. You have great views of the Guidecca Canal and across it to that Island. It has an eat-in kitchen and large living room area and the washing machine is a plus!! It is out of the main stream of tourists and has several really good restaurants very close. It also has coffee shops near in case you do not want to cook any meals. Great choice in Venice.

The apartment is beautiful and full light being located on the top floor of an old Venetian palace. The apartment has been completely renovated following a very creative design. We also enjoyed the Castello neighborhood where the apartment is located, as it still retains a village feeling and genuine Venetian life. The staff is very professional replying in real time to our emails and text messages. We definitely recommend this accommodation as a perfect location to visit Venezia and Biennale

We hired the RED Apartment overlooking the Grand Canal in Oct 21. Apartment was excellent and we watched the gondolas go by. The service from Venice Apartments was also really good and helpful throughout. would definitely recommend. Rob (UK)
