★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a very nice restaurant in the plaza, specialized on seafood, the food is very fresh and delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The service was excellent, the young staff serving and taking the orders where very efficient and friendly at all times, even know that the restaurant was very full.
I give the service and the food 5 stars

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is a welcome relief from the slew of over priced places along the marina. It's tucked into the square and has a really nice vibe inside. The service is great. Our waitress made suggestions and seemed very invested in our experience. The food was also excellent. We ordered the octopus and potatoes, the caponata, and two pasta dishes--the one with lobster was incredibly tasty. They also have great wines and we enjoyed an organic white wine from the area. Definitely choose Variis if you find yourself in town!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As 2 English families with very little Italian linguistic skills, we were made to very welcome. The owner and waiting staff were very attentive, food arrived HOT and all of our group happy with food eaten. For the cost, quality of food, service and overall value for money I feel this restaurant deserves 5 out 5.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was literal s**t. We paid €60 for bread and a piece of solid fish. A big tourist scam. Do not go. Staff was arrogant and portions were microscopic. Very disappointing service, pit anyone that goes there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ate here with my family. Wish I had read the reviews first! Gah! The pasta was beyond al dente (it was still a bit on the raw side). My Vongole was served with little care, there were still 3 clams that remained tightly shut, you'd think that a chef with standards would ensure you don't end up with those displayed on your plate. My son ordered the chicken & chips and the middle of the breaded chicken was still pink and raw, very sashimi chicken. All we wanted was a panini, which we assumed would be easy and quick, but we were told there was no Panini available despite the staff noting all four of us wanted sandwiches. We made the mistake of staying to order the more expensive fare only to be waiting over 60 mins for something basic and to still be disappointed :/ Excessive butter, excessive salt (and trust me, I don't mind salt, but not by the bucket), slow service and lousy pasta.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for lunch and were disappointed. Vongole pasta was a small portion and very salty seemed to have been cooked in salty butter and additional salt added. Children’s chicken was undercooked to the point it was raw on the inside in some parts and it took over an hour for our food to arrive. Just disappointing when you spend €70 and only drink water !
