β β β β β Extremely rude old couple who were annoyed that there were 8 of us who wished to sit down and have something to eat at the unthinkable time of midday...
Don't go there unless there are only 4 of you max and you turn up when they're ready. Unbelievable!

After you enter, just ask the owner to give you a selection the best traditional products, vegetables and meat+cheese, ask him for a glass of the wine that he drinks, then order some salsiccio(saussage), some pork skewers, and enjoy! Do not eat fast, take your time, even forever if you can!

β β β β β EXTREMELY good food and very reasonably prices. I got a little bit of most of the dishes just to try them all because they were so good. Ended up eating here most days for lunch and dinner during my week in matera.

β β β β β Really awesome and typical local food. You can find there the food my grandmother cooked several years ago.
I definitely suggest you to go there for lunch or dinner and have a cheap Materan meal.
Try first or second dishes. Sandwiches with meat are delicious as well.
Finally people managing this place are so nice!
