★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice looking holiday place and it's cool to stay in a Trulli's, but it is quite expensive and we do have more than a few things we didn't like/enjoy:
pool very small and shallow, hard to swim;
no grounding on electrical outlets > dishwasher/fridge shock you when not wearing shoes, also laptops will be static and won't charge battery, in between pieces needed to even fit in outlets for many devices, but will still not ground, despite having third pin;
Kitchens tiny, hardly any work surface, of melograno needs lighter to light gas of stove;
A LOT of mosquitos between 3/4pm until complete nightfall, then a few at night, so many bug bites despite using deet mosquito sprays and machines/tablets (beginning September);
Far from any civilisation, closest place to get anything (bread, some cured meat, cheese and assorted local products) is a farm at about 1,5km away; ceglie messapica at 4-5km;

Placed to visit nearby-ish that we liked the most: alberobello, locorotondo (with winery I pastini), Taranto, Grottaglie, Monopoli, Matera (far, but worth it), Ostuni, Lecce, Otranto, ...
To eat in Ceglie: Giuseppe, okay very cheap; Al forno da Ricci, not worth the price; Cibus, okay food, but definitely not great, very bad service towards the end.
To eat in Matera: La bruschetta, amazing bruschetta, okay pasta and house wine, cheap
