★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first night in Rome we went to this little local restaurant, which was right behind our hotel. From the outside a bright yellow sign welcomes you, but don't let that fool you. We had great tasting food and a warm welcome. The food tasted amazing. Real proper Italian food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional little Trattoria tucked away in a pocket out of sight from most tourists yet in plain sight if that makes any sense. Easy menu with great pricing if you're on a budget. Hearty dishes and great wine served by a friendly staff. What more can you ask for? If you want to eat some authentic Roman dishes and not the trash they serve at tourist traps near Pantheon, Piazza Navona, or Campo de' Fiori, you need to come to Lilli's. Try the Antipasti Misto, Trippa alla Romana, and some pears and caffé' to finish your meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a hidden jewel around Navona. We asked our Hotel Luxury Navona manager where she will recommend us for an authentic Roman Cuisine nearby the hotel where the locals go.
Wow, bingo!! It was amazing! It is a small place so make sure you arrive a little earlier. Although google map says it opens at 7:30 pm, actually it opened at 8:00 pm.
