We had a wonderful dinner with my wife last night, enjoying a very good "primitivo" wine, amazing food and a perfect atmosphere. Grazie tante Gegè e alla prossima

Freud!!! Bad food with extreme prices. I wish I had read the bad reviews before coming. Avoid it, go elsewhere. Really terrible.

Absolutely wonderful dinner on a charming terrace, kind and friendly staff. We arrived early and had the whole place to ourselves, so we received personal attention and recommendations and we’d chatted with the owner quite a lot. Would absolutely recommend going here!

Gege is a special chef, very passionate about his job and as a result the food is amazing. We had a wonderful lunch with a taste of two starters (we loved the fava bean purée) and two small portions of pasta which was divine. I’m italian and I can say his quality of produce is top mixed with creativity and fresh ingredients is a perfect marriage. The best meal in the Gargano region! As a courtesy do call the restaurant to reserve a table. There is a lovely breezy terrace or a smarter inside section, both well curated.

My husband and I had just stayed a couple nights near Vieste and decided to visit Monte Sant'Angelo on our way to our next destination further south in Puglia. We found this restaurant for lunch, not realizing until part way into our meal that it was THE restaurant recommended by the New York Times in a 2012 article about the Gargano peninsula. I'd only read the article just the day before! The courtyard was very quiet so I went and asked the chef in Italian if the place was open. He was very excited and showed us to a table outside and recommended items for us. It felt like a private dining experience! He was so enthusiastic, personable, and happy to listen to my very rusty Italian. We had a simple and delicious antipasto with lettuce, tomatoes, and stracciatella cheese. If you haven't tried this cheese before, don't judge it by its resemblance to a poached egg and runny consistency because it's amazing. Then we had ravioli with a type of dried, shaved fish sprinkled on top, followed by vanilla ice cream rolled in biscotti and honey. Everything was delicious! Perfect portions for lunch. Highly recommend! Grazie mille to the fabulous chef ?

Delicious food and friendly personable chef. By far the best meal I’ve had all week while on the Gargano. I went in the off season (early May) and on a Sunday so no reservation was needed. But the place is small so if you’re here during the high season then a reservation would be suggested. I went with the pre-fix daily special. For 50 euro I enjoyed an amazing 4 course meal, wine, and cappuccino.

This restaurant was recommended by the Michelin guide, and we were not disappointed. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation while they were setting up the tables outside in a very picturesque terrace. The Chef was very friendly with us, and did not hesitate to show us his very lively personality. The starters, main and desert were exquisite with subtle and balanced flavors. If you are undecided about what to order, I would recommend asking the chef directly - he will be honest with what goes well with the starters you are choosing or with the wine you are drinking. About the chef, I could tell that food was his passion, and that he sees his guests as people appreciating his art, not just clients. When I ordered Coca Cola, he jokingly pretended to be offended and told me I am in Italy and should try local things. He then recommended a soda called “Gazzosa” (which is a local version of sprite). Im glad he did not hesitate to suggest this. I highly recommend anyone to try this place. Make sure to book in advance as places are limited. This restaurant seems like the kind of place that is well on its way to get a Michelin star and we were lucky to experience it in its earlier days.

We were lucky enough to eat dinner in this restaurant situated in a quaint little square in the center of the old town. The chef, Gege, certainly not a shy guy, treated us with so much attention. The food was really good but the dinner was really completed by his character and very good suggestions. We came with a small child, and it was no problem to get her some simple pets even if this restaurant had top notch plates. Would definitely come back.
