Food quality (freshness, taste, and etc) was well below my expectations and service was bit "forceful" like some other claimed.
Based on the reviews and the location of this restaurant, I was excited to dine here. However, at the moment the meal came out, my excitement turned into pure disappointment.
Food: Had seafood based meals and both meals weren't seasoned enough and smelled "fishy" as it came out. I'm a big fan of Frutti di Mare and it just didn't have that savory flavor that all Frutti di Mare has. It simply wasn't seasoned enough and didn't understand why they "lemoned" it so much. For the first time in my dining experience within Italy, I spat out mussel. They claim to use fresh ingredients, but some were definitely questionable.
Service: Some could interpret as "energetic" service and some could interpret as "forceful". It really depends on you, but I did witness a server keep going on and on when this one lady customer clearly stated she's not interested in steak. Nothing "super" in my personal opinion.
Overall, general service with sadly disappointing food. Food was definitely disappointing during my visit and didn't meet the quality like few others claimed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are reading this - stop scrolling and just go. Ask for Giuseppe and put your trust in him - he will tell you honestly what is fresh and best for the day, recommend wine/drink pairings, and will certainly make you smile. This was by far the most delicious meal we ate in Florence… I will be dreaming about the lobster pasta until the next time I am back in the city.
*Also try the ‘spicy vegetable sauce,’ vin santo with biscotti, and parpadelle with wild boar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When in Florence, DON'T SKIP this place. It will become your favourite restaurant very soon. Go for the delicious fresh seafood with pasta and perfectly cooked stakes. Also the staff is very friendly.

It was our first day in Florence, so we had walked all afternoon and part of the evening because we love this city. So, after resting a bit, we went out very late for dinner with my husband. After being discriminated against in another restaurant, for having a vaccination certificate that was not European (we live in Canada), we found this excellent place. From the moment we arrived, the waiter understood that I wanted a special place to dine, so he placed us in a beautiful window. Then he made an excellent suggestion for the starter, I remember it was octopus, tomato, potatoes, it was spectacular! He also suggested dinner options, my husband chose a mild tagliata and I chose spaghetti with white wine and seafood, which was delicious!
We spent three weeks touring Italy and I'm sure it was the best dinner I have ever had. I will remember this place fondly and hope to return one day not too far away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their Lobster Special Spaghetti is absolutely amazing. The buttery sauce picks up all the flavor. I ate my meal in a trance, it was that good.
My boyfriend got the Florentine Steak, medium (which is very rare, by American terms). The char on it was delicious.
Shoutout to our lovely servers Daniela and Ryan! Super welcoming staff, and a warm ambiance. Highly recommended!
