★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a large group and asked for individual checks, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Lots of seafood, pasta and cous cous on the menu--- everyone had a hearty and delicious meal. I chose the cous cous since this part of Sicily is so close to Africa (Tunisia, actually). The cous cous was tasty and filling. The house wine was delicious and inexpensive. The service was friendly and helpful - - not too many in our group learned any Italian before heading out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a lasagna. What I got was a very tiny piece and it was cold inside. Left the place still hungry. Recommend this when you are on a diet.
But the staff was friendly and the location, on the small piazza, is quite cosy and nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I strongly suggest you avoid this place, here’s why:
- we ordered the credite tartare as a starter, our waiter brought an oyster platter and when we pointed out that we hadn’t ordered that he said he told the table next to us that they were out of tartare but not us. They didn’t offer to bring anything else to replace it or anything.
- service generally very, very slow, not attentive, chaotic
- bruschetta were nice but overpriced for 3 pieces
- the Marsala escalope was very bland, unappetizing plating, sides were very very average
- we asked for a wine menu, they never came to ask if we wanted to order any
- a bit of a scam in terms of the food, the price, the service

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived at 9pm on a busy Saturday night without a reservation and they instantly found a table for us two, sitting in front of chiesa dell'addolorata. If you ask you'll get recommendations on the menu. Food is excellent. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They could not serve all the dishes in the menu. The food and wine was ok, they forgot to bring to us our second drink order and although we didn't receive nothing we found it on the recipie.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would AVOID - less than mediocre experience. Over 50% of the menu was unavailable (due to not being “in season) including the items the waiter himself recommended. My husband wanted the red mullet which was not available, the waiter recommended the fritto misto instead as it was the restaurant’s speciality which was anaemic (see picture) when it arrived and clearly frozen. Our wine which would have helped the food go down never turned up but was on the bill. The flush in the women’s toilet didn’t m work nor did the hand dryer which isn’t a great sign in corona virus times. Overall a really disappointing experience considering the fact we found this place from usually reliable website (the thinking traveller) and the 4 star google rating. Maybe it was good at some point but it certainly isn’t anymore
