★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ristorante in centro a San Benedetto Po dove è possibile gustare piatti tradizionali. Ottimi gli antipasti con vari tipi di mostarda fatta in casa e i tortelli di zucca. Discreta anche la lista dei vini. Prezzo adeguato a quanto mangiato. Servizio al tavolo disponibile e competente anche nella spiegazione dei piatti serviti e nel vino da accompagnagli.
 Restaurant in the center of San Benedetto Po where it is possible to taste traditional dishes. Excellent appetizers with various types of homemade mustard and pumpkin tortelli. The wine list is also discreet. Price adequate to what is eaten. Table service available and competent also in the explanation of the dishes served and in the wine to accompany them.

Found by chance, we stopped to eat trying typical Mantuan recipes. Excellent pumpkin and ricotta tortelli with nettles. Very good sbrisolona cake. Staff very kind. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Di ritorno a Milano, abbiamo deciso di non fare l'autostrada. Ci siamo fermati a San Benedetto Po con l'intenzione di visitare il Monastero. Per caso abbiamo visto questo locale e siamo entrati con la speranza di poter pranzare, visto che era affollato di clienti. Abbiamo ordinato le Bruschette con salsa di pomodori piccante e giardiniera fatta in casa,
Tortelli di zucca, (in versione diversa da quelli che di solito preparo io, perché in questi non c'era la mostarda di mele ma un po' di scorza di limone grattugiata, insoliti ma buoni. Ovviamente non esiste una sola versione di tortelli, dipende da che zona del mantovano ci si trova, come ci ha detto la ragazza che ci ha servito), Tortelli con ricotta e ortiche, molto delicati, Torta sbrisolona, (anche questa differente da quella che mi hanno insegnato a fare, mia nonna e mia mamma, della provincia di Mantova, ma molto buona). Il personale è molto gentile e premuroso. Locale consigliato, e di sicuro ci ritorneremo se siamo di nuovo in zona!!
Back in Milan, we decided not to take the motorway. We stopped in San Benedetto Po with the intention of visiting the Monastery. By chance we saw this place and entered with the hope of being able to have lunch, as it was crowded with customers. We ordered the Bruschetta with spicy tomato sauce and homemade pickled vegetables,
Pumpkin tortelli, (in a different version from the ones I usually prepare myself, because in these there was no apple mustard but a little grated lemon zest, unusual but good. Obviously there is not a single version of tortelli, depends on which area of Mantua you are in, as the girl who served us told us), Tortelli with ricotta and nettles, very delicate, Torta sbrisolona, (also different from what my grandmother taught me to make my mom, from the province of Mantua, but very good). The staff are very kind and accommodating. Local recommended, and for sure we will return if we are in the area again !!
