Regolare controllo dei green pass al tavolo.
Tavolo ben distanziati tra loro.
Il locale ti accoglie in un grande salone con un caminetto acceso che fa atmosfera.
Tovagliette spartane ma tovaglioli di stoffa e belle posate.
Carta dei vini veramente notevole che spazia in tutta Italia con bottiglie veramente di pregio.
Servizio gentile e molto disponibile, sempre con mascherine indossate correttamente.
Ma passiamo al cibo. Tortino di zucca accompagnato con salsa al parmigiano e aceto balsamico stravecchio veramente ottimo. Torta fritta leggermente insipida ma che così ben si abbina al buon salume serviti.
Cinghiale con polenta veramente tenero. Tortelli di patate con sugo di funghi apprezzabili. Piatto di bollito misto con salse discreto (peccato per la gallina un pò asciutta). Dolci fatti in casa veramente ottimi e serviti molto bene.
Prezzi giusti e nelle media.

The restaurant welcomes you in a large living room with a lit fireplace that creates atmosphere.
Spartan placemats but cloth napkins and nice cutlery.
Truly remarkable wine list that ranges throughout Italy with truly prestigious bottles.
Friendly and very helpful service, always with masks worn correctly.
But let's move on to food. Pumpkin pie accompanied with parmesan sauce and really good very old balsamic vinegar. Slightly insipid fried cake but that goes so well with the good salami served.
Wild boar with really tender polenta. Potato tortelli with appreciable mushroom sauce. Mixed boiled meat dish with discreet sauces (shame about the slightly dry hen). Really good homemade desserts and served very well.
Fair and average prices.
Kudos to the owner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Qualche tornante appena dopo Varsi per arrivare ai piedi del Barigazzo, montagna di memoria partigiana e ben nota agli escursionisti e finalmente giungere in questo locale gestito come casa propria dalla stessa famiglia dal 1945. Ed e proprio la sensazione di stare a casa che si avverte fin dalla prima accoglienza per poi ritrovarla intatta negli spazi del locale ben arredato e aggiornato anche nei servizi.
Un bel camino acceso ed una saletta riservata per le occasioni più intime.
I sapori sono quelli del territorio con una cura particolare alla stagionalità e di stagione erano i buoni funghi prognoli con tagliatele tirate a mano , faraona e roast beef con patate dolci e non unte. Anche qui un apprezzamento particolare alla cucina che è si di territorio ma mai grassa ed anzi direi equilibrata.
Costine degne di nota.
Lista dei vini con qualche etichetta superiore che fa ben figurare. Gianluca vi consiglierà con attenzione e passione.
Ed è proprio la passione che muove titolare e collaboratori. Filippo che guida la struttura non mancherà di farvelo nuotare:tutto è guidato dal desiderio di soddisfare l'ospite con l'orgoglio e la sicurezza di chi sa di metterci animo,impegno e volontà e ambizione di far bene.
Tempi d'attesa in linea con la qualità dei piatti preparati sul momento e prezzi nella media.
Interessante lo spazio per pranzare all'esterno che ben si integra con la bellezza della natura senza mai volerne sovrastare l'importanza.
Da tornare.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a find! This valley in the Apennine hills of Parma was in dire need of somewhere decent to eat and spend an evening. And this is it.
Set in a small village off the beaten track it is an updated traditional style restaurant with a modern twist.
But the food! Really really good food, especially the pasta. We had 3 types of tortelli which were cooked to perfection..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You will not eat better anywhere in the region than here! Teresa is an angel in the kitchen, her cooking is sublime and of the greatest quality. Filippo and his team are also wonderful front of house…..if you haven’t been you must it’s definetly worth the drive .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful Sunday lunch. The restaurant setting is beautiful and very clean. Both the spinach tortelli and potato tortelli were delicious. The meat dishes were also extremley good. The spare ribs in particular, the meat was falling off the bones. Can't forget the delicious desserts too! Plus great value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During a visit to the little village where my grandmother grew up, my family arranged for dinner at the Trattoria citta d’Umbria. We had attended an 8:45 am mass and then explored this tiny little village before arriving to the restaurant prior to their normal opening time. My family had reached out and arranged for them to be ready for our early arrival. The atmosphere was beautiful with two dining rooms, a private dining area and a terrace.
The food was all fresh. I mean FRESH. We ordered prosciutto and watched them slice it for us. They served us warm torta di patate, an appetizer my family has been making for generations. All of our meals were amazing. Delicious but without a doubt I will be sure to order the Tortelli in Broth as it was a perfect mix of pasta and meats. We completed our meal with scrumptious deserts and coffees. The service was top-notch and when we left the restaurant, it was packed! I will not come back to Italy without making our way to the Trattoria citta d’Umbria.
