If you've made it to Caltagirone (to buy heads!), then you could do far worse than eat here. The food is, as always, impeccably sourced and made, but what makes the place is the friendly/welcoming environment created by the hosts.
Take your cues from your hosts - ignore the menu, and work out what you should be eating based on what they recommend. The process might be involved, getting into what you've already had, what you like, etc., but it'll be worth it - if not for anything else, then just for the convo ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I write this review as I cannot understand the average high score of this place: it is totally undeserved!
Our experience: The first starter (antipasto di pesce), although abundant and nicely presented, was quite tasteless and dry, except for the caponata and the sardine arancina (arancina a le sarde). Not impressed at all. Digestion was even very hard later on.
The pasta with tuna, cherry tomatoes and almond was totally tasteless, to such a level that I even find quite difficult to achieve.
To add insult to injury the above was recommended by the waitress and, therefore, not something randomly chosen on the menu. So 'factor luck' is to be ruled out. Definitely not good value for money as the overall high price did not reflect the low quality and mediocrity of the food.
The two stars just go for the location and the nice disposition and friendly attitude of the woman who served us despite the above. The wine she recommended, although far from cheap, was very good.
How this place got such a high score is beyond my comprehension. Neither coffee nor dessert were ordered out of disappointment.

We ate pasta,and risotto.
All food was delicious.
Also inside is beautifully designed.I loved this restaurant .Also Staff is very helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a lovely family and dining experience. They try very hard to give advice (in quite a few languages!) and make it a pleasant meal. The antipasti for 2 gave us a real taste of local salumi and cheeses (and the homemade fig jam that goes with it is to die for!). Took the canolo with cinnamon and it was the perfect finish. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended
