Caratteristici i ponti in acciaio che lo scavalcano, realizzati dal genio militare quando la zona del Gallitello era aperta campagna. Se siete fortunati, vi capiterà di incontrarci l'airone cinerino che da qualche anno lo ha scelto come sede di nidificazione.
