★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Torre non e' visitabile salvo rare eccezioni, e' ancora parzialmente abitata. Si trova in posizione panoramica con veduta mozzafiato sull'Abbazia e sulla bellissima spiaggia. Dimenticavo il posto e' bello sempre ma se ne avete la possibita' veniteci a Settembre inoltrato e soggiornate nei dintorni, proverete la piacevole sensazione, dopo le ore 18 quando l'ultimo barcone porta via i turisti di sentirvi padroni della spiaggia
The Tower cannot be visited except for rare exceptions, it is still partially inhabited. It is located in a panoramic position with a breathtaking view of the Abbey and the beautiful beach. I forgot the place is always beautiful but if you have the chance come in late September and stay in the surroundings, you will experience the pleasant feeling, after 6 pm when the last boat takes away the tourists to feel you are masters of the beach

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ubicata nella Frazione San Fruttuoso fu eretta nell'anno 1562 lungo la strada che conduce dall'Abbazia di San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte al borgo dei pescatori ed e' dedicata ad Andrea Doria grazie ai suoi eredi Giovanni , Pagano ed Andrea. Fu costruita per difendere il borgo e la sorgente d'acqua usata dai monaci contro le incursioni barbariche. Fu dotata d'artiglieria pesante e leggera, come tre cannoni in bronzo, un bombardiere, trentatrè moschetti e archibugi. Sulle due facciate vi sono due stemmi della Famiglia Doria (l'aquila imperiale), mentre vi sono decorazioni sulle cornici e le mensole. Nel XII secolo cambiò aspetto grazie ad Oreste Spinola, abate, che fece realizzare un nuovo tetto.
Located in the hamlet of San Fruttuoso, it was built in 1562 along the road that leads from the Abbey of San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte to the fishing village and is dedicated to Andrea Doria thanks to his heirs Giovanni, Pagano and Andrea. It was built to defend the village and the source of water used by the monks against the barbarian incursions. It was equipped with heavy and light artillery, such as three bronze cannons, a bomber, thirty-three muskets and arquebuses. On the two sides there are two coats of arms of the Doria family (the imperial eagle), while there are decorations on the frames and shelves. In the 12th century it changed its appearance thanks to Oreste Spinola, abbot, who had a new roof built.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ...questa Torre Doria si trova lungo la strada che collega l’Abbazia di San Fruttuoso al borgo dei pescatori!!!...si incontra una ripida scalinata che conduce alla torre di Andrea Doria!!...si dice che fu eretta nel 1562 per difendere il borgo dalle incursioni dei pirati!!...la torre presenta sulle due facciate rivolte al mare lo stemma della Famiglia Doria...l’aquila imperiale!!...
... this Torre Doria is located along the road that connects the Abbey of San Fruttuoso to the fishing village !!! ... there is a steep staircase that leads to the Andrea Doria tower !! ... it is said that it was erected in 1562 to defend the village from pirate raids !! ... the tower has the Doria family coat of arms on the two sides facing the sea ... the imperial eagle !! ...
