★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Torre di Sant'Alò (o Torre Nuova) è un edificio storico di Mantova e si trova in piazza Arche.
Edificata nel 1370 circa per sorvegliare il lago che circonda la città, assunse il ruolo di difesa dei palazzi abitati dai Gonzaga già ai tempi di Francesco I, che fece costruire anche il Castello di San Giorgio. La torre sorgeva allo sbocco nel lago del Fossato dei Buoi (ora via Accademia), che proteggeva la città vecchia.
 The Torre di Sant'Alò (or Torre Nuova) is a historic building in Mantua and is located in Piazza Arche.
Built in about 1370 to guard the lake that surrounds the city, it assumed the role of defense of the palaces inhabited by the Gonzagas already at the time of Francesco I, who also had the Castle of San Giorgio built. The tower stood at the mouth of the Fossato dei Buoi lake (now via Accademia), which protected the old city.
