★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aielli e questa Torre con la sua piazza sottostante, sono una piccola perla nella Conca del Fucino, incastonata sotto il monte Etra e la Serra di Celano, nel versante meridionale della catena del Sirente. Il punto regala un panorama a tutto tondo sulla piana.
Frequenti gli eventi culturali prevalentemente a tema astronomico ma questo luogo è meta anche di appassionati della street art e della letteratura italiana: l'artista Alleg ha trascritto l'intero romanzo "Fontamara" di Ignazio Silone su un muro di una casa.
La salita alla piazza regala sorprese vivaci e colorate grazie ai murales di recente realizzazione. Non è raro ammirare da questo punto la maestosità del volo dei grifoni (gyps fulvus) che incantano con i quasi 3 metri di apertura alare.
Aielli and this Tower with its square below, are a small pearl in the Conca del Fucino, set under Mount Etra and the Serra di Celano, on the southern slope of the Sirente chain. The point offers an all-round view of the plain.
There are frequent cultural events mainly with an astronomical theme but this place is also a destination for lovers of street art and Italian literature: the artist Alleg has transcribed the entire novel "Fontamara" by Ignazio Silone on a wall of a house.
The ascent to the square offers lively and colorful surprises thanks to the recently created murals. It is not uncommon to admire from this point the majesty of the flight of griffins (gyps fulvus) that enchant with their almost 3 meters of wingspan.

It was closed during my visit but it seems to be a nice place and a nice view opens up. Worth a visit!
