Bellissima e imponente. Arrivando da via garibaldi la si puo' vedere nella sua interezza con l'orologio e la fontana alla sia base

Bella torre nel centro di Brescia. Epoca medievale, torre situata in zona pedonale. Raggiungibile in pochi passi dal centro storico.
Beautiful tower in the center of Brescia. Medieval period, tower located in the pedestrian area. Reachable in a few steps from the historic center.

...questa Torre della Pallata è uno degli edifici simbolo della città di Brescia!!!...si dice che fu costruita nel Medioevo vicino alla Porta di San Giovanni...praticamente a difesa della città!!...nella sua storia svolse diverse funzioni: deposito del tesoro comunale...magazzino e anche prigione!!!...con il tempo poi venne realizzata la fontana monumentale su progetto dell'architetto Pietro Maria Bagnatore!!!...che fu abbellita dalle sculture simbolo di Brescia e rappresenta Pallade Atena e due figure sdraiate...forse dedicate ai due fiumi della città!!!... Garza e Mella!!!...questa Torre è l'unica struttura fortilizia di questa cinta sopravvissuta fino ad oggi!!!....e direi ancora in ottimo stato!!!...non passa di certo inosservata!!!...
... this Torre della Pallata is one of the symbolic buildings of the city of Brescia !!! ... it is said that it was built in the Middle Ages near the Porta di San Giovanni ... practically to defend the city !! ... in its history performed several functions: storage of the municipal treasure ... warehouse and also prison !!! ... over time the monumental fountain was built on a project by the architect Pietro Maria Bagnatore !!! ... which was embellished with sculptures symbol of Brescia and represents Pallas Athena and two reclining figures ... perhaps dedicated to the two rivers of the city !!! ... Garza and Mella !!! ... this Tower is the only fortress structure of this wall that survived up to today !!! .... and I would say still in excellent condition !!! ... it certainly does not go unnoticed !!! ...

Bellissima torre medievale visibile già da Piazza Garibaldi,la zona di transito è ZTL o prevalentemente pedonale .Molteplici le attività situate lungo la via prevalentemente ad appannaggio di etnie diverse.
Beautiful medieval tower already visible from Piazza Garibaldi, the transit area is ZTL or mainly pedestrian. There are many activities located along the street mainly reserved for different ethnic groups.

Torre della Palata was builtin 1254 as the tower that defended Gate of San Giovanni. It survived the siege of 1311. Clock were added in 1461. Fountain was added in 1597. This tower is the only survived part of the medieval city walls. Tower was closed for the public during my visit in 2016.

In Brescia you have to go for a walk from torre della Pallata to the castle on the top of the vity and that is the way to see evreything in the city
