★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La torre si trova su uno sperone di roccia nei pressi di Acquafredda di Maratea.
Come le altre torri costiere della zona, essa faceva parte del sistema difensivo della costa del Regno di Napoli.
Dalla statale SS18 si può prendere un sentiero leggermente in pendenza che garantisce l'accesso alla torre.
Lo stato dell'edificio è in linea di massima ancora buono, forse qualche intervento andrebbe fatto. Il panorama che si gode da questo luogo è uno spettacolo a 360 gradi, avendo tutt'intorno un paesaggio composto da mare e montagna.
The tower is located on a rocky spur near Acquafredda di Maratea.
Like the other coastal towers in the area, it was part of the defensive system of the coast of the Kingdom of Naples.
From the SS18 state road you can take a slightly sloping path that guarantees access to the tower.
The state of the building is generally still good, perhaps some intervention should be done. The panorama that can be enjoyed from this place is a 360 degree show, having all around a landscape made up of sea and mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Provenendo da Sapri è la prima torre cinquecentesca che si incontra in Basilicata e la si può vedere fermandosi nella piazzola esterna sul tornante. Da Maratea la si vede già in lontananza. In anni recenti era iniziata una sorta di ristrutturazione, poi purtroppo sospesa. Si spera in una rapida risoluzione, e che le ditte appaltatrici rispettino sia le norme di sicurezza che la tipologia storico-architettonica della torre. Questa, insieme alle successive che si incontrano più avanti, sono uno spettacolo sul mare oltre che una testimonianza storica da tutelare.

From Maratea you can already see it in the distance. In recent years a sort of restructuring had begun, then unfortunately suspended. Hopefully in a rapid resolution, and that the contractors will respect both the safety rules and the historical-architectural typology of the tower. This, together with the subsequent ones that meet later, are a spectacle on the sea as well as a historical testimony to be protected.

A show a fairytale landscape ... I recommend everyone to visit at least once in their life .. the cliff that goes from Sapri to Maratea .....
