β β β β β A me non Γ¨ piaciuta. SarΓ pure ricca di testimonianze antichissime ma complice la superficialitΓ della guida ho visto poco e co ho capito ancor meno. Ho di granlunga preferito il bagno nelle splendide acque delle calette dell'isola.
I didn't like it. It will also be rich in ancient testimonies, but thanks to the superficiality of the guide I saw little and I understood even less. I much prefer to bathe in the beautiful waters of the island's coves.

β β β β β Stunningly beautiful & humbling. Nataleβs guide a joy and packed with drama. For the full experience, go for lunch / dinner afterwards at the Trattoria Arcobaleno in town, have the degustazione antipasto and rock with joy like Neolithic stick men

β β β β β An easy boat ride from Trapani. The grotto holds very old paintings and stone carvings (into the walls of the cave). Our guide was very helpful. For the more fit, you can take the boat trip to the grotto in good weather and hike back to town. There is a nice beach close to the grotto as well.

β β β β β This place is amazing. It's a perfectly preserved cave with inscriptions and drawings from the Paleolithic and Neolithic era, when Levanzo was still attached to mainland Sicily as waters were much lower.
It is accessible by a boat tour, via Jeep and or walking from the main port or up from Cala del Genovese bay.
The entrance fee is β¬10, plus the cost of any transportation if you don't walk.
The guide, from Italy's Arts ministry, was very passionate and knowlegeable, one of the best guides I've met.
A must see.
Note: the cave is located on the west side of the island, Google maps erroneously reports the location in the port, where the boat trip starts.
