C	Claudia C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo sito archeologico fu completato nel 1998 e conserva i resti delle terme romane dell'antica Histonium tra cui diverse vasche e cisterne con marmi pregiati e mosaici più importanti di tutta la costa Adriatica. C'è una rappresentazione di Nettuno e le quattro Nereidi tra cui due in sella a cavalli, una in sella ad un cavallo marino ed una in sella ad un drago. I mosaici sono bicromatici, quindi le tessere di fondo chiare insieme alle tessere nere mette in rilievo i particolari anatomici dei disegni. Purtroppo non sono mai riuscita a scoprire se si può visitare in quanto il cancello è sempre chiuso. Però, se vi arrampicate sul muretto, riuscirete a vedere i mosaici e le vasche. Consiglio di andare quando c'è il sole in modo tale da trovare più luce perché le terme sono coperte da un tetto. This archaeological site was completed in 1998 and preserves the remains of the Roman baths of the ancient Histonium including several basins and cisterns with precious marble and the most important mosaics of the entire Adriatic coast. There is a representation of Neptune and the four Nereids including two riding horses, one riding a sea horse and one riding a dragon. The mosaics are two-colored, so the clear background tiles together with the black tiles highlights the anatomical details of the drawings. Unfortunately I have never been able to find out if you can visit because the gate is always closed. However, if you climb on the wall, you will be able to see the mosaics and the tanks. I recommend going when the sun is shining so as to find more light because the baths are covered by a roof.
