I had the incredible pleasure to meet Nicola at his own place. As a fifth generation wine maker he explained me absolutely everything over his vineyard from history to production techniques. Also their products are outstanding. I can't do anything but giving them this review and a huge thanks!! Hope to visit them another time.

Very warm welcome by Ilaria. Happy we got to enjoy the amazing wines, view from the winery, and hospitality and explanation on the winemaking process and what makes the Amarone from TSMV so special. Make sure you save up because you will be wanting to stock up on the wine for friends & family back home ?

It’s rare that you can say, with honesty, that you have experienced “one perfect day”, but my Saturday in the #Valpolicella with Anna and Nicola at their winery, Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde, was one of those days. A bike ride through the hills in the morning - Nicola teaching me the history of his family’s links to the area as we looked across the Valley of the Cellars, secreting into an archaeological site (a Roman temple built at the highest point) uncovered only recently (and abandoned due to lack of funding), riding through towns deserted by young people moving out to find their fortune in the large Italian cities and beyond - followed by a full lunch, cheese, salami, three different tastes of wine, including the magical Amarone, and completed with a walk through the vineyard with Anna, one of the warmest, sweetest, and most welcoming Italians I have met. As she drove me down the hill to the train station, we talked life, kids and the state of the Italian state. This was one perfect day in Italy. A day where I could live in the moment.

The tour was extremely fun and informative, we really enjoyed learning about the history and process of growing the grapes to making the wine. The tasting was exquisite and the staff were incredibly friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend doing this experience.
