Lucus Angitiae, also known more simply as Angizia from the name of the homonymous goddess, is an archaeological site recognized as a national monument located near the southern shore of the Fucino basin, near the contemporary town of Luco dei Marsi in the province of L'Aquila. (from wikipedia)

Silius Italicus, nelle Punicae (libro VIII, 495-501) scrive:
Angitia, figlia di Eeta, per prima scoprì le male erbe, così dicono, e maneggiava da padrona i veleni e traeva giù la luna dal cielo; con le grida i fiumi tratteneva e,
chiamandole, spogliava i monti delle selve.
Spesso dai romani associata alla Bona Dea, nota come Anctia fra i Marsi e Anagtia presso i Sanniti, i Peligni la chiamavano Anaceta o Anceta, spesso veniva associata al culto dei serpenti.

Silius Italicus, in the Punicae (book VIII, 495-501) writes:
Angitia, daughter of Eeta, first discovered the evil herbs, so they say, and handled the poisons as mistress and drew the moon down from the sky; with cries the rivers held back and,
calling them, he stripped the mountains of the woods.
Often associated with the Roman Bona Dea, known as Anctia among the Marsi and Anagtia among the Samnites, the Peligni called it Anaceta or Anceta, it was often associated with the cult of snakes.
