★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Monte Capanne, which is one of the "musts" on Elba. The view is beautiful, 'cabinovia' is technically really interesting, nice idea, but be prepared in hot weather. I saw couple of overheated passengers on the top. There is no shade in the cabin obviously, and the drive to the top is pretty long. Passengers are standing. So take some hat, water etc. You can buy all types of beverages on both sides of the rope way.
I really enjoyed the ride in the opened cabin, and the view on the top is beautiful. Parking can be tricky, but if you come either early (10ish) or at the beginning of the siesta break (after 1pm), the parking could be easier. And yes, there is a siesta break during the early afternoon so check the schedule carefully, to avoid waiting either on the top or on the bottom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place with a very nice track. You can wander down from the "Castello" which will tske you around 1 hour. Its quite steep at some points and the road isn't very well fixed. Despite that its a beautiful path and the scenery one can find makes up for the small husstle.
Important: Due to the nature of this path you will walk on paths that are often overgrown. Please do NOT step on the plants/flowers nor break them to collect them. The ecosystem is already very badly hurt by the trash and so on left by others. Do not harm it further, like this we can preserve this beautiful spot ❤
Things to keep in mind:
- You need good shoes, the path is rocky and not easy to walk on
- It will be humid and arid within the same path as it goes zhrough thick forests and open ares. Take antibug spray and water with you
- Take your time, at some points the path intercepts and splits. Some paths are deadends. Don't rush, some spots go steep down into little canyons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place. Sustainable park with great maritime life, nice beaches and little plastic on the beaches. We did a one week kayaking teip arround the island of elba for the second time and are glad that the park is well taken care of

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful, during our short stay we visited a differen beach every day in between Portoferraio, Marina di Campo e Porto Azzurro, every place has its own beauty in every climate conditions. Colours of the sea.. well...look at the pictures and judge it yourself. Definetly worth to visit on its entirety. Shipwreck beach definetely one of my favourite, if you swim and like snorkelling it will yours too. Remember that some beaches are more accessible then others so choose wisely if you travel with young kids. Google maps ( in satellite mode) definetely a good beginning to explore and have an idea of the location and terrain. Travel to Elba, depending of time of the year can be pricey, book in advance if you can.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The national park of Toscane is beautiful ❤️. A lot of walking trails with perfect views over the Mediterranean Sea. Bike trails, history and a lot of beautiful little towns. It is breath taking!!
