★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended a production of Romeo et Juliette by Charles Gounod on my trip to Florence. Despite having a French libretto, the supertitles in English and French enabled me to appreciate the lyrics and enhanced the theatrical experience as a whole. They also have quite a significant roster of programmes and communicate well in English. It's basically a destination to look out for to attend an artistic event in the evening when all other attractions are closed.

My class and I went to see the philharmonic rehearsing before the start of their tour but the staff treated the event like they would any other, meaning great service, clean and orderly facilities, and a hospitable welcome. Would certainly recommend this site as a cultural focal point of Florence to any tourist or local alike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was at an opera performance at this theater. The opera hall looks modern and acoustic.
The chair was comfortable. Here you can buy snacks and drinks.
The performance was great and the audience received the singers very emotionally.
For me, two small surprises came out: 1. Lack of decorations in the lobby (is the theater completely new and without history?) 2. Why are there no taxis waiting for visitors (not everyone arrived in their own car)?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to see Madame Butterfly. The production was amazing. I'm not a huge fan of the story of Madame Butterfly but that's a completely different topic. Anyway the facility is amazing. The staff were very friendly and helped me find my seat. I would definitely go back and see another production there.
