We loved our meal here. Luciano was a pleasure to chat with too. We've been all over Italy traveling for five weeks and this was perfect. We had soup, pasta and a beef dish. The wine poured was fantastic too. We're actually going back a second time tonight for dinner.

It is a very good restaurant. Indeed, they have an extensive wine menu, with a loto of options regarding Brunello di Montalcino. About the food, I have tried a pasta with “aglione” and was wonderful. However, the “Stinco di manzo” (kind of knee of cow) had an excellent sauce, but the meat itself was not the best. I recommend the pasta with tartufo and the first course dishes.

If you go here for lunch, first make sure it is the first meal of the day. The food is very very good, don’t expect fine dining, it is not. It is traditional Tuscan food and it is delicious and properly made. If you are lucky enough to sit outside the view is nice. The place is featured in the Michelin guide and the prices are more than fair and it is the restaurant of Villa le Prata. So, if you want maybe the best accommodation in Montalcino, Villa le Prata is the place to go.

Fantastic view, fantastic food. Really great restaurant in Montalcino. If it’s warm enough, ask to be seated outside (only 3 tables on the stair case which is basically the best spot ever as it’s facing the view of Tuscany). Come early enough so you can enjoy the view day time. The Brunello wine was really good. Overall the bill was €70 which is a bargain considering we experience we had.

That was ok. Food was not particularly well presented; which would be ok for traditional/agroturismo like restaurant. The best were the appetizer toasts for us. Bresaola was too dry. The pasta with wild boar ragu could also have done with more juice to it (although that might be the Italian way since the other two we previously had were about the same) and you don't particularly taste the meat. The rabbit was tasty but the meaty pieces were too small... That was quite bony and small bones.

Good, not great. Definitely a tourist place but if you can, book for the outside seats to get amazing views (only 3 tables available) Bit over priced as it’s a tourist hot spot (€12 for the pasta €5 for the green salad) Has an extensive wine list and is presenting itself as more upmarket. Pasta was ok, the sauce was great-very fresh but the pasta itself was a mixture of soft pasta (over cooked) and some rare a’dente. Had better for sure!

Friendly staff and nice service. A little bit overpriced but this might be due to the Michelin star. Best Ricotta in the Tuscany region ?

This restaurant was the gem of our trip to Montalcino. Both service and food are incredible. We loved it so much that we had lunch twice in a row. You should definitely try the anchovies al pesto and the whole menu if possible. Congrats to the Taverna del Grappolo Blu team!
