Sono 15 anni che vado a Napoli per prendere i taralli solo a via foria. Ultima volta che delusione. Prezzo sempre piu su, poche mandorle stantie e lavorazione non la stessa
I've been going to Naples for 15 years to get taralli only in via foria. Last time that disappointment. Price always higher, few stale almonds and not the same processing

Abbiamo acquistato stasera presso il punto vendita di via Foria una crostata con crema pasticcera e fragoline di bosco per il compleanno di mia madre. Mi dispiace fare questa recensione ma è stata veramente deludente. La pasta frolla era stantia, poco consistente, abbiamo pensato che fosse rimanenza di molti giorni. Te lo puoi aspettare ma non da Leopoldo! 27 euro buttati, sarebbero stati benedetti se avessero rispettato lo standard di qualità che spesso abbiamo trovato in questa pasticceria, specialmente essendo clienti. Leopoldo ha raggiunto la bassezza della peggiore pasticceria napoletana offendendo la nostra centenaria tradizione. Certamente non vi metteremo più piede!
Tonight we bought a tart with custard and wild strawberries at the store in via Foria for my mother's birthday. I am sorry to do this review but it was truly disappointing. The shortcrust pastry was stale, not very consistent, we thought it was leftover for many days. You can expect it but not from Leopoldo! 27 euros thrown away, they would have been blessed if they had respected the standard of quality that we often found in this pastry shop, especially as customers. Leopoldo has reached the baseness of the worst Neapolitan pastry offending our centenary tradition. We certainly won't set foot there again!

Tappa fissa la domenica per prendere dolci o torte. Una delle migliori pasticcerie di Napoli, una tradizione anche per i taralli! Situata nel cuore della città, via Foria, più o meno di fronte all'Orto Botanico, Leopoldo rappresenta una tappa fissa non solo per i napoletani ma anche per i tanti turisti che stanno tornando ad affollare la città. Alta qualità mantenuta costante nel tempo.
Fixed stop on Sundays to take sweets or cakes. One of the best pastry shops in Naples, a tradition also for taralli! Located in the heart of the city, via Foria, more or less in front of the Botanical Garden, Leopoldo represents a fixed stop not only for Neapolitans but also for the many tourists who are returning to crowd the city. High quality kept constant over time.

Ultimamente non è che mi stava piacendo più di tanto, c'era sempre qualche problema, trotto cotto, troppo alcool, ma sinceramente oggi mi hanno portato questa crostata, bellissima. La tagliamo e la base era molto cotta ma la cosa più brutta è stata quella di trovare un CAPELLO LUNGO GRIGIO, lo abbiamo sfilato da sotto una fetta e non finiva più ? Viva l'igiene ? Ovviamente nessuno la più mangiata ed abbiamo dovuto buttare tutto. Che peccato.
Lately it's not that I was liking it that much, there was always some problem, cooked trot, too much alcohol, but honestly today they brought me this beautiful tart. We cut it and the base was very cooked but the worst thing was to find a LONG GRAY HAIR, we pulled it out from under a slice and it never ended ? Hurray for hygiene ? Obviously no one eaten the most and we had to throw everything away . What a pity.

Although Zeppole di San Giuseppe is considered something of a signature at Tarallificio Leopoldo, its lack on Saturday morning did not make the Bakery any less memorable, everything from Tartlets with Fraises Des Bois to Chocolate Cake showing well while warm Sfogliatella were amongst the best in Napoli. Established in 1940, and open daily at 09h00, it is entering the shop on Via Foria that guests will find friendly customer service, English-fluency limited but adequate to explain several items which were still coming fresh from the oven at 09h30. Not offering seating, though those who wish to dine on-site will find a standing area up front, it was after teeth had shattered through layers of Sfogliatella Riccia that Frolla was tasted, a slightly longer bake than other spots adding an extra dimension in terms of texture. Happy to see several smaller treats, though whole Cakes are also available, it was finding both Baba plump and saturated with boozy Syrup that no clear winner could be decided, the Strawberry Tart equally praiseworthy while those seeking something richer will find the Sacher Rocher Cake and Lobster Tail with Chocolate Cream compelling.
