★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff was outgoing and friendly but the sushi just wasn't great. The rolls weren't rolled tight enough, the ingredients weren't distributed evenly and the rice didn't taste like it was flavoured (enough). The sushi was very overpriced for the quality provided. Overall quite disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered two kinds of sets, one was ok but the other one was not good at all. The fish in the rolls tasted really bad and the salmon nigiri was sour. As a chef from Scandinavia who works a lot with fresh fish I know when it's not. Maybe because got a ready box to go and it was in the evening it had probably been in the cooler all day and I was kinda surprised they didn't make it fresh. This place looks like it has alot of potential and I believe this was just an unlucky incident but bad nonetheless!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They're perfectly situated! This Sushi Lab is located a couple blocks away from Piazza Bellini. It is surrounded by other restaurant choices, but if you love sushi and are looking for a quicker meal, this is the only sushi spot for the area. The popularity of sushi is on the rise!

I ordered 4 poke bowls and a sushi box. At first, they notified us that it would take 20 mins to an hour, which was acceptable. But then after an hour and 10 mins, I still was not informed at all. Tried calling them 8 times in total, emailing them then ended up coming to the restaurant myself.
At the end, I got the bowls with half cooked rice, it was still hard inside the grain. Liking something is subjective but 0 out of 4 of us enjoyed the food, we even had to recook the rice.
This could be one incident, but nonetheless, it was bad. No one was saying sorry to us, even once, which is…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Woke up craving sushi and chose this spot not knowing what to expect. Everything we ordered was a delicious work of art neatly packed into tiny to go boxes - yes, while this place does have indoor and outdoor seating, they will still serve your selections in tiny boxes. Convenient!
We asked for wasabi and got little packets of actual wasabi root (this is good! not the ground horse radish like normal!)
For drinks, they had Kirin, Sapporo and Asahi, sodas and red and white wines.
Hopefully I'll be able to get a poke bowl before I leave, they looked incredible.
Definitely worth the trip.
