I've been going to Paolo Valente's Dok for 20 years and it remains my favorite in Brindisi. Friendly girls and boys, professional staff, the entire market is well managed, clean (an essential requirement for me, never seen another in which the sanitation of the workstations was so frequent and accurate) efficient and equipped with medium-high quality products, never found expired or expiring products. Effective and efficient checkout counters, as the flow increases, one or more checkouts correspond to the opening, of course you never get moldy in a row, except during the lockdown during which some customers drove three trolleys each. I don't go to the salami counter which is left without a vote. All departments are well stocked, without competitions to the bottom with poor items, there is no compromise on quality. Food for animals, refrigerated counters, wines and spirits, snacks and chips, butchers and fish, fruit and vegetables and bread substitutes, frozen foods and products for the home and hygiene, depending on my target I almost always find what I'm looking for: sure, as the name implies, it is a Big market, not a hypermarket, the offer can never be the same, but the difference between the two is for me in the human relationship and trust that now, after 20 years, allows me to buy products without always checking prices and deadlines.
