I have already previously spent a few days in Palermo but as a solo traveler without italian skills i was always to intimidated to try out the local markets. Marco was a great guide, who answered any and all questions and was just a lovely guy to hang out with (felt like a walk with a friend). He was so knowledgable about everything to do with sicily and palermo, knew all the vendors personally and even got us to have exclusive insight into the kitchens behind the scenes of some of the vendors. I would highly suggest this tour when you're in palermo, the food was absolutely divine & i will definitely try the other tours offered in other italian places! Marco was both very knowledgeable and entertaining and answered any questions the group had - ranging from the history of Palermo, to niche questions about traditional Sicilian food. We got to try a wide range of different street foods, including ones that we hadn't heard of. I would highly recommend anyone join this tour! A voice like Pavarotti and a natural born storyteller. We didn't like his spleen, lung nor his cartilage greasy stuff but the sweets, the fried and his other Sicilian specialities were super. He was very informative of all the foods and the history of Palermo .He was charming and had quite a sense of humour. I enjoyed all kinds of Sicilian specialties also including different wines and beer. The tour was the highlight of my stay ! Palermo is a vibrant city especially when you are accompanied by Angelo!
