I was there on April 2019, I ordered wine and water and had been served. But still waiting for my sandwich...

Waited 45 minutes for one coffee, paid three times the Italian price... Won't come back

I can only speak for their Giandujotto, but that is enough of a reason to go there. The hazelnut chocolate was smoother than anything of the like that I've had. Pick up a bag to accompany you on the rest of your Italian travels and pine for the day that you go back for more.

Exquisite tastes in old fashioned settings! I suggest you try their traditional Christmas Panettone!

Great place with delicious sweets. My fiancee loved the Dolci Di Cavour and would recommend it greatly.

I sat at an outside table in elegant Piazza San Carlo, nobody from the staff said Good Morning, a waiter arrived after twenty minutes we had been trying to get noticed. I ordered a neat vermouth, meaning with no ice cubes, they brought me the Vermouth menu, the waiter couldn't explain the differences among the variety of drinks on offer. I ordered the Vermouth della Casa, (vermouth maison), Stratta brand, which will turn out to be too sweet and cheapish. I asked for it NEAT, Instead it came poured on the rocks, with a mountain of ice cubes. I immediately politely said to the waiter "Excuse me, I asked for it neat, can you change it for me?" The waiter left with my drink, and came back 10 minutes later with the same large glass for drinks on the rocks, which contained the same vermouth, which they had just removed the ice cubes from, so the vermouth had become very cold, and therefore not to my liking, and inside the glass there were many strands of orange or lemon, I guess the waiter had used a dirty spoon, so the drink was "cloudy", not clear. I told the waiter "Excuse me, it's cold, I wanted it neat, at room temperature." The waiter, without apologising, tells me "Eh... that's the way we serve it here!!" I should have left, since they weren't able to serve what I requested, or have them redo my aperitif, but, being in the company of friends, I preferred to keep silent. Then, contrary to the Italian tradition, they brought absolutely nothing to accompany the aperitif, so I kindly requested some salted almonds and some olives: after many more minutes, we were brought greasy and cheap potato chips and pitted olives, clearly the quality of a discount supermarket. Yet, you pay for excellence. I didn't expect such poor service, such incompetence, such inefficiency, and mostly such bad quality in a traditional elegant Turin cafeteria. I won't set foot there again. Trap for tourists and for a crowd that does not know good quality, and gets easily fooled by the great location. I find it shameful that a high-end bar offers such poor quality - it's really rude, and an affront to good taste.
