La vecchia in pieno centro storico ormai abbandonata a se stessa con un piccolo bar che non so come fa a sopravvivere, e una nuova per la quale si sono spesi decine di milioni di euro per realizzarla, ma sempre abbandonata a se stessa. Qui arrivano e partono treni per raggiungere il paese di San Vito posto in una situazione strategica , per collegare la dorsale adriatica dell'Italia. Per e dalla stazione nuova partono solo bus "navetta" per trasportare i passeggeri del treno. Ė stata costruita ed inagurata più volte, per accontentare più politici benefattori. Se per caso si perde un treno allora da qui solo un miracolo ti può salvare, almeno che tu non voglia fare a piedi una salita alpinistica, e se per caso piove allora fatevi un segno di croce. Insomma una città dove ci sono due stazioni ma una sola funzionante e non facilmente raggiungibile, l'altra serve sono per conservare posti di lavoro ai parenti dei soliti politici ignoti. Se decidete di visitare Lanciano per le sue bellezze storiche e religiose di domenica ricordatevi che per arrivare in centro dotatevi di buone scarpe comode e usate googlemap per arrivare in centro anche perché non esiste il servizio taxi The answer is not simple because Lanciano has two stations. Purtroppo manca un distributore automatico di biglietti per i giorni festivi in cui è chiusa la biglietteria. Small train station with ticket office, lift and recently also a bar. In particolare , giorni fa mi è capitato un episodio: entro per fare un biglietto per Pescara e trovo la signora In piedi vicino ai tavoli nella stanza intenta a mangiare un grappolo di uva. -“salve” -“Cosa le serve?” -“devo fare dei biglietti per Pescara” -“ si, un attimo” E così ho dovuto attendere più di 5 minuti che la signora finisse di fare merenda.. tra l’altro , dopo aver finito di mangiare tutti i chicchi di un grappolo, invece di venire a servirmi, ha avuto la sfacciataggine di incominciarne anche un altro. Se prendete il treno da qua a San Vito pagate 1,2€ mentre se prendete l'autobus dalla stazione vecchia pagate 1,9€ perché sono più di 10 km.
