★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anticamente intitolata a S. Maria Assunta in cielo, (precisamente nel 1656, tempo della peste). La sua forma è a croce latina, con tre navate separate da due fili di colonne. Realizzata nel Seicento in pietra locale conserva al suo interno notevoli opere d'arte di maestranze locali. La sua facciata è decorata dalla presenza sul portale centrale di una statua rappresentante il santo. Da notare l'elegante campanile con cupola orientaleggiante. (web)
Formerly dedicated to S. Maria Assunta in cielo (precisely in 1656, time of the plague). Its shape is a Latin cross, with three naves separated by two rows of columns. Made in the seventeenth century in local stone, it preserves within it remarkable works of art by local workers. Its facade is decorated by the presence on the central portal of a statue representing the saint. Note the elegant bell tower with an oriental dome. (web)
