The first written document dates from 1095, probably built outside the walls of Arezzo, along the city’s main access road. Since 1095, the church has been mentioned as a Camaldolese monastery. The church was dedicated to St. Michael and Hadrian between 1785 and 1786. The first important conversion of the building dates back to the 14th century. It took place in the first half of the century. Assuming a Gothic aspect, it was augmented with chapels, aedicles and murals, including frescoes of the Virgin and Child, some attributed to Andrea di Nerio and others to the Spinellian School.

E' una chiesa dalle caratteristiche strutturali molto basilari e semplici, ma, allo stesso tempo, bella e da visitare. The sacred building, dedicated to Saints Michael and Hadrian from 1785-1786, was built in the early Middle Ages. It is a church with very basic and simple structural characteristics, but, at the same time, beautiful and worth visiting.
C	Cristy G Giuliani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cinque stelle a questa chiesa perché Lungo la navata a sinistra c'è un grande Crocifisso ligneo policromo, realizzato da un ignoto autore toscano tra la fine del XVII e l'inizio del XVIII secolo che ha fatto sì che mi fermassi (e non è mai successo) ad ammirarlo. Io non amo i crocefissi ma è fatto talmente bene che mi sono seduta in una panca lì sotto perché avevo la sensazione che da un momento all'altro si potesse muovere. Five stars to this church because along the left aisle there is a large polychrome wooden crucifix, made by an unknown Tuscan author between the end of the seventeenth and the beginning of the eighteenth century who made me stop (and never happened) to admire it. I don't like crucifixes but it is so well done that I sat on a bench under there because I had the feeling that at any moment it could move.
