I have stayed at several 4-star hotels in Italy, but this hotel is certainly not the stars worthy. The hotel is characterized by lack of renovation over decades. The hotel corridors have carpets that smell and have loose threads. The hotel room smelled of mildew, had no balcony as agreed, cold water in the shower and an air conditioning that didn't work. I have attached some pictures. The pool area is also tired and the sunbeds are falling apart. The only positive thing I have to say about the hotel is a fairly good breakfast. The images on the website do not match the reality. The hotel is harmful, stay away!

The best hotel in Mondello, probably in Palermo. Renovated rooms, prompt service, nice pool and good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Extremely outdated, and needs remodeling. The best perks are location and the salted pool pool/private oceanside access. However, when I went to swim in the ocean area the waves were to strong to really enjoy the swim, especially with all the big rocks there.

The air conditioning is pretty much a fan. No cooling. No adjustment cooler or hotter. Just fan on, fan off. The A/C condensate collects and drips below the register, collecting as a puddle in front of the bathroom. The light just inside the door has a bad ballast and randomly flickers a bright flash of light. The two elevators appear to have been just replaced. Plastic film covers all S/S surfaces. One elevator is out of service. The shower DOES deliver plenty of hot water. If you stay here as a full moon rises around 9 PM on a clear evening, you can’t beat the view, if you have a water view room. The restaurant staff is very busy, polite and if you are patient or know how to get a wait person’s attention you’ll get a fair breakfast.

The location is exceptional with an impressive view over the bay and mondello beach. Having this said, I feel the hotel is not using it's full potential. The personal is a little bit grumpy and without Italian and french communication is rather difficult. Also, a general renovation could be necessary.

This hotel should market itself as an older discount hotel in the most beautiful location possible. It lives up to that expectation but not a 4-star resort. The ocean views are possibly the most beautiful of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The AC in our room was good and strong. Unfortunately that’s about the only positive things I can say. Our room door key quit working three times in three days requiring reprogramming. The shower faucet hose was broken and shooting the majority of the water at the ceiling. The doors are are paper thin, typical of closet doors. That means you hear every noise in the hallway as if the door was open. The mattress felt like the mattress from a fold-out couch bed. The ceiling in our room is acoustic tiles that haven’t been used in 3-4 decades. The windows and windows jams all have paint on them from bad paint jobs done too many times. Given the moderate prices, it’s not terrible, but this place should not advertise itself as 4-stars. There is no window in the barely usable gym. I didn’t see a restaurant but there are a couple bars, one serves ice cream. There are three pools, all on the ocean. The back pools are used by locals that rent one of maybe 50 or so storage boxes/cabins on the property. Apparently you can rent a β€œcabin” that is about a 2m cube, store chairs and towels, and then use those items along with the back pools. I don’t mean this to be a complaint and I’m not sure exactly how it works but it was a new concept to me. It is indicative of the way it somehow feels that this hotels isn’t primarily focused on its hotel guests.

Extraordinary location. Rooms with Sea-View have an amazing panorama. Staff at the reception and in the restaurant was super friendly. The hotel could use some renovations. The whole building is worn down. Aircondition didnβ€˜t work properly, balcony door couldnβ€˜t be locked and also the room door caused some difficulties. Service personal just entered the room and started cleaning even while we were in the room.

Nice sea view, nice terrace, bad service. No Wifi in the room (signal too weak). Cocktail by room service is 12€. Restaurant didn't serve anything after 10 pm and before 7 am they refused giving me coffee first, after insisting I got my first bad coffee in Italy. Poolboy wanted to through me out of hotel because he didn't understand English.
