★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How do you say wonderful in all languages? We are here in Lierna for an extended period of time and Sottovento was recommended by several new friends in town. They were absolutely right that this is by far the most wonderful restaurant in town and is a great value for the money. In addition, sitting right on the water, it's just amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice meal at sunset over lago di Como. We arrived around 830pm in late May and had an incredible view of the sun setting over the foothills. The fish was fresh and the dishes were simple. The wine was as expected for the price. Food is good but the view is spectacular.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here three times and it's never been a disappointment. They do amazing plates with lake fish, it's a little pickled, and full of flavour. I've tried numerous plates and I haven't had one I didn't like. It's a beautiful place right on the lake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Right by the water with good view. A bit pricey but friendly staff with good command of English. We came during busy Sunday lunch hours with tons of dressed up guests, so slow service especially when we wait for our check. Food was fine but not over the top.
