G	Gian Luca Ragg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Proprio sul confine tra il Lazio e la Toscana, si trova un angolo di natura di grandissimo fascino e interesse: le sorgenti della Nova, che grazie alla loro ricchezza d’acqua (e all’inaccessibilità del sito) hanno portato alla nascita di un insediamento sul pianoro soprastante già dall’età del Bronzo, insediamento che è sopravvissuto sino all’età medievale, prima di essere definitivamente abbandonato. Il luogo non è segnalato ma è facilmente raggiungibile: si prende la strada che da Farnese porta a Pitigliano e passato il confine fra Lazio e Toscana si prende la prima strada bianca sulla destra (prima di una grande azienda agricola). Fatti alcuni chilometri si arriva a un bivio con una carrareccia che scende a sinistra. Lì, se non si ha una macchina 4x4, è meglio parcheggiare e dopo poche centinaia di metri arriverete al sito. Passato il cancello sulla sinistra vedrete un gruppo di alberi: si tratta delle sorgenti della Nova, che sgorgano da una grotta risalente all'età del bronzo a una portata di 120 lt/secondo; l'acqua è limpidissima e freschissima, potabile e regno di libellule e farfalle. Di fronte troverete la rupe dell'insediamento protovillanoviano e i resti dell'abitato medioevale. Veniamo alle dolenti note: ci sono molti cartelli della sovrintendenza che dovrebbero descrivere le diverse strutture; purtroppo molto sono rovinati, sporchi, scoloriti dal sole e quindi illeggibili. lo stesso vale per il sentiero: poco visibile per l'alta vegetazione. Le fonti, che si trovano sotto un albero in mezzo al campo si vedono ma l' abitato preistorico solo con la vegetazione bassa è visibile. P	Paolo Guardala on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un posto sospeso nel tempo e molto interessante. La cartellonistica è presente e ben fatta ma servirebbe un po’ di manutenzione e rinnovamento. Merita assolutamente la visita! A place suspended in time and very interesting. The signage is present and well done but some maintenance and renovation would be needed. Absolutely worth the visit!
