Company is trying to make me responsible for damages on the vehicle. Luckily I took pictures on the day i started rental. No response so far. Classic scam!

I’ve been renting from Sixt for a very long time and this is one of my favorite branches. I’ve used this one for the last three rentals and in two occasions I’ve been upgraded to cars that are a lot nicer than the one I’d requested. The staff has been nothing but great and treat me like family. I’ll keep coming back without hesitation.

We rented a car to drive from Rome to Milano during our summer vacation in Italy. The service was good, and we also got upgraded to a better car. The vehicle worked perfectly, and the return of the car at Milan airport was quick and efficient.

Expect them to try to scam and overcharge you. I've rented online a BMW 3 series or similar (Premium Sedan category) and I've paid online using a debit card (cause my Romanian bank is overcharging me about 5% percent when I'm using my credit card denominated in RON). Once I've got there the lady at the counter was very friendly and started processing the papers. To my disbelief she stated that they "upgraded" me to a Jeep Compass (which in fact was at least 200 Euro less than what I've already paid). After some back and forth she told me that someone just returned an Audi A5 (same class as BMW 3). But they requested a deposit of 500 Euros (which does not appear anywhere on the site) so even if I already paid 1600 Euro online using a debit card I was forced to use a credit card as none of my debit cards were accepted (even if for some of them the phone apps reported that the money were debited from the account!!!). In the end the Audi A5 was brand new only 8km on odometer (fortunately because they didn't bother to bring the car in front of the office so I can check it - I was sent to their underground parking space to get the car). I drove the car from Rome to Milano/Bergamo airport. The drop procedure was OK though they didn't have enough parking spaces in the Bergamo airport lot so I've left it on another company space (I arrived there at 5AM). They charged me several days after only the agreed price without taking anything from deposit. The experience left me a bitter taste as I didn't expect this kind of scam from them.

The service is the best! Highly recommened. Had no issues in comparison to other rentals reviews. Payments cristal clear.
